It still drives me nuts when people refer to him as a great offensive mind great offensive minds go to kansas with a 5 star qb and light up the big 12. He has failed at too many places
his year one, game against a ranked Purdue team on the road where ND blew the brakes off Tiller and made them look completely lost pretty much cemented that stupidity if I remember right he also did the same to Pittsburgh that year
Sounds like this kid may be committing tomorrow. https://247sports.com/player/ellis-mcgaskin-46144257/
considering how strong the rest of the class is, an elite QB really is the missing piece to take this class over the top
What's the Dia Bell story? Had interest in ND but we didn't reciprocate? That's the vibe I get but it's never more than a vibe.
I think they legit thought they would get duece (high ceiling, low floor) and the Grubbs (high floor, low ceiling) and didn’t want to chase the bell’s of the world for a year. they now desperately need a difference maker at qb in this class.
its honestly already close (assuming the expected finish of golden, finely, robinson, fitz and reddish), but yeah, using the class calculator it would go over 2008.
Try to get Bell back on campus for the USC game imo. But seems hard to flip him from Texas at this point
if it wasn't TX, then I'd say we might make some movement but UT has money, coach, and their a top program right now under Sark, it's tough to flip him the only good thing is that he doesn't have any real ties to TX so he's not drawn there naturally I'd love for ND to flip him but I won't cry if he stays at UT and takes over after Arch
