It's looking more and more that the round of golf at Lawsonia with college friends is going to win out over going to the Wisconsin game at Soldier
Isn't it weird that "prior to the snap" calls don't reset the game clock to the moment of the offense rather than burn off the time consumed during the invalid play?
is it really amazing though? they’re two totally different defenses and it appears we don’t have the DBs to make it halfway effective
My dad and I never watch ND games together on Tv. Because of Peacock he stopped by. Left at halftime. I call him after Toledo scores and he must have thought I was making that shit up. Crazy catch by Austin Coans finger is fucked Trainer just popped it back in Throws a TD to Mayer Philly Philly (he asked if Coan caught it) Nope … with a twist. Up by 3
There are a couple of other items that makes the decision difficult. 1. It's ND Wisconsin (where I'm from and they've never played in my life 2. My FIL got enough tickets for my daughters to go too, and I don't want them going to their first game without me Alternatively, Soldier Field sucks and taking a 3 year old there sounds like a nightmare.
Time really is a flat circle. Back to “huh this team sucks” vs “2-0” crowd on Irish illustrated circa 2012
Hes been solid. I'm more about the OL over his coaching tenure than 2 games. Anyone replacing that many starts is gonna struggle. 4-3 year starters. It's not really a surprise to me a statue QB behind a young/inexperienced OL is struggling. The thing I was hoping was Tommy would run more RPO and Coan could handle those quick decisions with experience. OL looked a lot better with Buchner in because if wasn't so easy to defend straight run or straight pass
I was on the fence on going to the birthday of one of my friend’s little girl on the 25th. I went ahead and confirmed my presence midway into the 3rd quarter.
so positives - Team is still mentally tough - Buchner is fun, not sure yet if he is really good, but he is fun - Mayer held onto an important pass Negatives - The OL, or lack thereof - Turnovers - The OL - Defensive giving up waaaaay to many big plays - DBs suck really
The first point is really an interesting one. We still have a winning culture, and that’s the only reason we’re not 0-2 right now. But that can also flip real fast, and has under Kelly before.
There is always something with this team, it’s normal to have weaknesses but it’s always something too big to overcome with kelly. This team doesn’t stand a chance against any team with a average or better dline
