Maybe Dante moore should consider reclassifying to next year to really get the bidding war going, I think I will tweet that idea to his dad since I speak to him daily on Twitter.
Coach D said someone silently committed tonight (my guess is Hanafin here) and that person won't be announcing 7/2
Why the caveat on 7/2? Just because people were actually thinking we were going to go a commitment a day for a week lol?
I mean at this point Moore might as well wait it out and see whose situation changes between now and signing day A lot can play out between now and then. Players emerge, end up sucking, get injured, coaches get fired, hired, etc. See what team gets desperate and drops a bag.
1. Jagusah 2. Micah Bell 3. Flores 4. Christian Gray 5. Greathouse 6. this is the new one - i'm guessing Hanafin but it could be Jason Moore
This feels like us where 2012 we are riding high undefeated and then the Bama beat down and Kelly flirting with the NFL just set us back 5 years.
ND telling Moore that they are sick of his shit and simultaneously muscling Carr into reclassifying is the most encouraging sign that this program might have a chance at winning a title in my lifetime since… I don’t even know when. The Tee Shepherd class maybe.
Our 4 expected 2023 commits this week would be ranked almost the same, add in a proxy for Cam Williams (took Gallagher, the 19th ranked receiver this year instead of next year) and NDs week would be ranked about equal to LSU
ATM still needs a QB, so does Florida. It just seems like his camp is trying to get a better deal. It already backfired once, but I’m sure this time it’ll work out.
the Elite11 rankings are interesting to see between 247 and On3 (links are free so I won't post them) That Novosad kid is really showing out Dante Moore is really good and so is Jackson Arnold
hmmm....Loy feeling a little defensive?? I do think Loy pushing the reclassification narrative did hurt the Dante recruitment...even if that was happening behind the scenes, I doubt the coaches wanted that narrative out there and i'm guessing that's what D3 and Lucky lefty were hinting at in their podcast
I thought the reclass possibility was out there before we ever were considered a leader for Carr. Like I thought I remember that as Michigan's solution for missing on Moore, they were going to get Cart to reclassify.
hmm...who's saying that? Loy and D3 definitely aren't pushing that narrative...those two are both saying they are still talking to Dante (Loy even saying they were trying to get him back on campus after his Oregon visit)
Dante was long gone the second he left South Bend in the Spring with no plans to commit. That was the make-or-break turning point that didn’t go our way. Be it wanting to see other schools, not being totally sold on ND, or wanting huge bags of cash a week after the Nico announcement, it became obvious he was gone then and there.
All that said, I hope he doesn’t commit to anyone any time soon - even if it does land him at UM - simply because I don’t want to see this recruiting fiasco end. Watching our beat writers continually try to spin their way out of this one, and the crazy response it has driven from our message boards, has been wildly entertaining.
I don't think the staff has done an "Photoshop edit with a player where everyone tweets 'we need you'" and he hasn't committed yet #AdvancedAnalytics
