I am drunk and going to sleep this off but I hate both of you and ND will never win a game that matters but I can still enjoy the team and have hope sort of occasionally with the complete knowledge that it is meaningless
How can anyone enjoy this shit? Football is not enjoyable. If you win, that's what you should have been doing all along. If you lose, you better be depressed for a fucking year. The only enjoyment is the losses of our enemies
Do you genuinely enjoy watching Notre Dame play football? Or would you rather watch Wisconsin beat Michigan? I love bye weeks, I'm not ashamed to say it.
I enjoyed tonight once I saw Nd could compete. I genuinely enjoyed seeing them do well when nobody gave them a shot. It was heartbreaking at the end but if it wasn’t it would make the wins less enjoyable. I understand what you are saying but you are not playing, you can’t control anything. Just cheer and be critical it’s fine but don’r Poison your existence because of something you cannot control Friendly advice
And losing to top 5 teams in the playoffs or on the road... I also want Nd to win those but goddam you are a tough crowd
I am trying to be positive here, imagine this team with Armstrong, Stepherson, Austin and love. I know it’s pointless but fun to think about. Nd blows this Georgia team out. They probably would get a few players too if we can get them and that might be a different deal
Last two pages were a shit show fellas. Anyway, Drew White impressed the fuck out of me. The play he made on first down of UGA’s final possession...the tackle on the jet sweep, was beautiful.
Man for like 2 minutes there when Georgia was punting I was like hell yea, Book is hot, there is plenty of time left ND is going to steal this one LOL Hats off to coach Kelly they had the right game plan, ND just doesnt have the horses on Offense. Like I said 24 was the max they could score against Georgia, cannot believe ND held them to 23, the window was cracked open
The false starts were really fucking annoying, they 100% took points off the board in the first half. Especially the 3 on the WR/TE’s like you are watching the ball..... woof I realize Quinn needed to prepare them better for that environment but the OL played pretty damn well. Book had plenty of time to throw and while the stats aren’t there they actually opened up holes in the running game. ND really needs better RB play
I don't think we should make the playoffs every year, that's not a good gauge. But we should finish in the top 15 every year with a shot at the playoff maybe 3 out of 5 years (at most 1 loss) . And let's win a big game now and then. There is no excuse for going 4-8 at Notre Dame, BK should have been let go then. He's a good, not a great coach, hence the comparison to Richt. He's been done in by shoddy hires, misplaced loyalty, and lazy recruiting, both from him and some mediocre position coaches. Getting talent here is not the problem.
It's par for the course. Weak men must always tear down the strong. I enjoyed our discourse. Proof that we can disagree, but show respect to one another. We all want the same thing.
The game was everything we said to make it a game defensively. They played lights out but couldn't withstand another anemic offensive performance. Either the play calling or execution was embarrassing, probably both. Not a playoff team, but probably a New Year's bowl team where they will get matched up against the SEC team that doesn't make the playoffs, so next year the worthiness argument will be there again.
Most of the bow projections I have seen all season have us slotted against the G5 team which would blow goats. It’ll be interesting to see how all that changes this week with UCF losing amongst other developments.
Rest of the schedule kind of sucks Having no running game makes the USC and Virginia games harder than they need to be Michigan and Stanford look bad but they are night games on the road in stadiums Kelly can’t win at Don’t think ND will be challenged by anyone else
Seems obvious Nd played their worst in the two first games, I think the running game will get better with smith and Armstrong back. Plus kmet (what a monster) and the options are going to open up the running game.
I really think jones is holding back this running game, he is not completely terrible but the line opens up some descent holes and he is so slow to hit it. On the fourth down botched snap, this play should have never happened. The screen on 3 rd and long was a great call and Jones got tripped up one yard short. A good rb picks that up easy. Details but these things end up costing you
Not having Jafar is killing this offense Hell, just having Jahmir would have been a nice upgrade. Jones is a complimentary back and having him as the lead is really hampering this offense. Thanks Denson
Jones is odd. He's a bigger power back who is a clear asset in the passing game, but not in the running game, especially between the tackles.
Reminds me of Robert Hughes, big but doesn’t really run big. And he can catch but that is about it. Can’t be your go to guy
Obviously it was last season which shouldn’t matter to anyone with half a brain, but I think national perception wise last night at least validated our place in last year’s playoff. We’re getting a lot of credit right now.
So yesterday was a situation where the team competed but couldnt close. Thats way better than getting bloem out. It also shows where ND needs gamechangers. The D really took a step and its guys like bracy who will be around for a few more years who showed up. Book showed that he has a ceiling and that ceiling is an issue against better talent. Still so happy about the play of mta jko white bracy kmet and banks. All guys who should be back. I really think this team could/should be even better next year
The drop off will be at dline and especially safety...although with Hamilton Nd might be alright with just one safety :)
The DTs are coming back. Ade is back at end and it looks like they are redahirting Jamir Jones. I think end is fine as well
That’s nice, and I kind of forgot but Nd got a few guys that should develop well at end with Foskey and nana
