My opinions are pretty well stated. I'd be ok with going with a 2 QB system and getting Jurk more snaps and be the QB next year. You can't win big games the way Book plays. Maybe Book goes somewhere as a grad transfer.
I am on the fence, book is so scared sometimes but if he lets it go he can be ok. He is not tommy Rees. No two qb system ever please, especially not this year. Book is the starter unless he gets injured. Next year it should be open.
I'm not a 2 QB guy either, but there's only so many 3 yard routes on 3rd and 7 a person can take before he snaps. Also, can somebody tell Fink to run to the goddamn yard marker and not 2 yards short of it
True, but he was still a successful starter and got yanked, that is my point. I don’t think they would hesitate at all.
Cool thing UGA does - their on-campus hotel offers season passes for football weekends where you basically pay upfront for all home weekends (at least two nights per weekend). Kinda like having season tickets, you have your hotel room for the season. I imagine ND could/does have the same thing with the Morris Inn (except only offered to super high paying donors), but I hadn’t heard of that anywhere else. Helluva way to attract out-of-town season ticket sales. It also includes year long parking pass right next to where gameday is hosted.

I have seen people say he's still throwing book under the bus and I couldn't disagree more. This is new for him and it might take some getting used to, but in this instance, he's taking the blame. And having driven past the practice facility a couple times last week, I guarantee you they practiced with tons of sound all week.
Honestly, it feels like he’s falling on the sword for a kid that has been heavily criticized (and rightfully so) over the first 3 weeks of the year. Players used to strongly dislike him for not doing that in the past. This is the type of leadership that the players will actually begin loving him for.
Whatever the reason is, I hope he keeps breaking down ND football either for 247 or The Athletic or someone else. He’s far and away the best at it.
Also, the captains called a Players Only meeting today. If it’s what I think it’s for, Virginia may be in for a rough day.
I hope we see some more leadership. That was an amazing game but still mistakes to clean up. I’ll probably be cancelling my II subscription after 15 years (was a bday present in hs) since they don’t offer anything anymore that 247 doesn’t.
Book, Finke, and Okwara have been underwhelming. Hard to be a leader when you’re not performing up to those standards yourself.

so apparently the thought was to redshirt Marist Liufua and only let him play in the biggest games because he is already so good at special teams. Also looks like the redshirt jamir jones plan is in the works.
