Most coaches love coaching. I cannot see this being any good for Stanford long term but props them up in the short term and gives him a nice 5 years of coaching with absolutely no expectations.
I actually think it’s a great job for him to take, assuming he still wants to be a coach. That’s a well paying, low pressure job and with comparatively little headaches vs the rest of college.
Let's pay Caleb Williams more than he's getting in NIL at SC to call our games next year and get some public face time while preserving his hamstring for the NFL.
Imagining Balis throwing this kid in a medieval torture device to stretch all his limbs and extend his wingspan two inches and entering the transfer portal in two weeks
I was just doom scrolling the OU board, and there was multiple updates on this kid from Drumm. "Basically Cephas loves Penn State, but I really like OU's chances if he doesn't commit this weekend etc". Even the OU fans were like dude he's not coming to OU to Drumm Starting to think he's a crazy homer
He's the guy that pretty much said he would quit if OU didn't get Bowen because he's spent the last year of his life interviewing people in Denton, TX about him, right?
It seems like they are trying to get a feel for the new staff. The Bowen stuff is clearly because everyone from that area is willing it to be true.
Seems related to the Hillman commitment. He said to the class there were too many wrs and rbs in the class
At least coach d can laugh at himself. He posted this yesterday and again in the recommitment thread. Seriously y’all? Now we’re just inventing things to get concerned about. Colorado sucks. He might have had an easier time convincing Dylan Edwards to go to Jackson State. Guys and gals, let’s take a deep breath. Dylan Edwards turned down his dad’s alma mater to come to Notre Dame. Let’s not give ourselves ulcers over the next two weeks. If there’s reason to be concerned, I promise I’ll tell ya.
Spoiler: From d Although the Notre Dame staff didn’t “expect” Dylan Edwards to de-commit this is something they were concerned about for a bit. Edwards had been saying he wanted to stay in the class but there were two things that were constantly being discussed. One was NIL, and he and some in his camp wanted more guarantees like the ones they were getting from other schools. Two was the depth of the 2023 class. Since Edwards committed, Notre Dame landed Jeremiyah Love at running back and Kaleb Smith at wide receiver, and some on Edwards side were expressing concern about there being too much depth at both positions, especially with the two running backs that were signed a year ago. Now with Hillman in the class, and some saying he might end up on offense, the belief is that is what sent Edwards over the edge and caused him to de-commit. The interesting thing is I was speaking with his dad yesterday and things sounded positive. I’ve been told that his dad really wants him at Notre Dame but ultimately Dylan was going to be allowed to make his own decision. And now he has
Let’s all be honest the odds of him making it more than a year here without being a breakout star as a freshman we’re pretty low.
This team needs as much talent at the skill positions as they can get. Can't worry about some pussy being scared off because of competition.
this sux...i loved Dylan Edwards and his film...his speed/toughness/cutting ability was unlike anyone in this class, and i'm not just talking about ND's class either this is a loss for sure
Kind of a head scratcher, when he committed it was all because of the ND degree, etc., as K State actually seemed like the better offense and fit. I doubt this is competition related, seems just Coach Prime blew him away the last few days and he'll go to Colorado is my guess. That being said, I was getting more and more comfortable we were going to lose one of Love, Limar, and Edwards - now hopefully it just isn't two
I thought it was funny to see in his photo with Freeman and Deland yesterday the “committed” posters. Seemed very forced to get the kid to stand in front of those that were clearly set up just for the photo op.
Reading the ksu board he was one kid who may have gone with prime from the beginning if not for the whole Jackson st thing. The ksu mods said that the other day too before he decommittted.
I have a theory that kids who don't wear school gear in the in-homes are still looking, wear school gear you are set
