Pretty cool to see the live feed on UND.com of the coaching staff calling the kids once they've signed.
Edit: Things to do when visiting Notre Dame May 2019 edition: It's a small campus so it's very easy to walk around and see everything. You'll want to see The Grotto, get pics by touchdown Jesus, The Basilica, and just check out the campus. Like I said, its a short walk for everything. As far as coming in, with kickoffs moving to 2:30 for most games, it's best to come in Friday night if you are coming from Chicago. It's about 2 hours from O'Hare, 90 minutes from Midway and around 75-80 minutes depending on traffic if you are coming from a hotel downtown from the Toll Road. Friday's are pep rallies and there are a lot more restaurants and things to do in SB that in the past. You'll want to check out The Backer (historic and full of old people) Corbys (the bar from Rudy and slightly younger crowd) or stay near campus and check out The Commons (right next to campus with a few cool bars). SR 23 is also close and there are bars there like Mulligan's (Midwest country girls) and Coach's (not a bad place). As far as Saturday, myself, NilesIrish and laxjoe always have tailgates, so feel free to hit us up, we are more than accommodating. If you want to get a pass, try to find one for the Joyce lot, which is the biggest lot, but there are also other lots like the White Lot in the back of campus. I haven't done that one in years but it's a shit show usually. Most spots are great and ND is mostly really cool with traveling fanbases (except BC and Sparty, fuck them). It's best to use a secondary market if you want tickets. Depending on the game, they are fairly easy to get. They sell them outside the campus, but those people are mostly awful. The stadium was renovated so it is comfier, but no alcohol in the stadium and no pass outs if you leave. Ushers can be bitchy but they have done a good job making it a better gameday experience than in the past. Once the game is over, it's fairly easy to get out of the area and a toll road entrance is close to get back to Chicago. If others want to add to this, let me know. Also, feel free to reach out to any of us with specific questions. Enjoy
random story: i saw denson at the barber other day picking up his sons from their haircut. he gives his younger son a twenty to pay the barber and the boy goes to give it to him with his head down. denson says "look him in the eye and say thank you" and then proceeded to lecture his boy all the way out the door. guy is awesome.
first year I didnt take the day "off" from work work to lay on the couch and watch espn in my underwear just not interested any more- I guess I'm getting old

It's been rumored on ND boards a bit. Most likely bullshit It is a bit odd though how I've seen mods asked about it quite a bit and they've all avoided answering
If Joe Schmidt wants to do this for a living he is going to stop with the "Talk about..." in interviews. That annoys the crap out of people. Ask a question. And this "Hot Topic" is creepy.
With Jones that gives us some upside we were looking for. Assuming the rest of our guys sign, it's a very nice haul. Add Kelly or DR and it's even more icing on the cake. I still think DR signs with ND.
was so confused that the previous thread had zero posts in it when i opened it from yesterday...happy for the new thread
we would appreciate it if you could continue to post over there. it can be our version of cartier field.
not at all surprising. so glad kelly forced ND to do this @LTorbin 2m2 minutes ago .@autrydenson tells local media that @ASeasonWith helped recruiting as guys loved what they saw from inside the Gug.
'16 Wayne (IN) DL committed to Mich State. @auston_robertsn Michigan state is still my number one but I'm am re-opening my options.
Watching the live feed on watchnd. They were talking to claypool. He had 51 points last night in basketball. As they were wrapping up the call Elston gets a call and says "what's up Jeff" but the feed cut away. I wonder if that was jeff mcculloch calling in.
Saw that too. I think Elston said "how's it going?....not good?" So I assume McCulloch was informing him he was staying in state.
