A couple I don't feel like are real such as Hartline, he's not coming to ND under any circumstance but beyond that just about everyone I would want on this list is there such as Leftwich, Moorehead, and Ludwig
oh yeah, I get that. But it seems to me that denbrock is more of a yes man. Loved him at oc sometimes but not sure he really had the complete autonomy under kelly. No idea what the dynamic was at cinci though and that went well
I imagine any big program media outlet covering a big program looking for an OC will list him just for the clickz.
my wife grew up with Brian and his brother Mike, she honestly knows them and the family- they are not leaving Columbus, only way someone prys Brian away would be by making it a package deal with his brother (nobody would do this) and it probably means making Brian a HC at P5 school and Mike QB coach which isnt possible at this point for either.
I’m lukewarm on him. That Oregon offensive regression is not great, Bob. And Miss St. seemed to fall apart as well. And no noticeable improvement at Akron. Candle and Ludwig are consistent. Candle’s success at Toledo, routinely in the running for MAC championships, and competitive against P5 teams makes him my first choice. Young, energetic, proven, talent developer, probably better on the trail than Moorhead.
He's on the list for clicks. And that's because there are enough smooth brained fans to buy into it. Honestly, even if realistic, he wouldn't be near the top of my list. He's called zero plays and would be walking into a situation without any semblance of a safety net when it comes to play calling. At OSU he has the safety net of a HC who happens to be one of the better play callers in CFB. Were this a DC situation, I'd be more comfortable with a hot young position coach becoming a first time coordinator because the experience on that side is more proven.
You laugh. But he’s going to end up as the wr coach at nd as predicted last year. The “reports” were just a year too early
I've seen some clunkers from Ludwig as well. He was one of the worst SDSU OCs I've seen. Using FEI (opponent adjusted effeciency rankings) Oregon offense improved with Moorhead post Herbert.
Like that he’s wearing his nd football coat. I feel like I remember him traveling to do cuts at some point. Guessing he went down there.
Not sure this guy has it. Why is he relaxing when we have an OC to hire!? Spoiler no, I am not being serious
Had no idea Fordham was in NY until a girl I was dating went to some Catholic conference thing there. Also had no idea it was religious.
i have it on good authority coach freeman will be calling plays next year please respect the decision
I didn’t double check but apparently carr and Buchner started following Moorhead on Twitter this evening.
I would not be mad about that whatsoever I presume that would be an offense Hartman might want to play for?
Seems he'd continue the power run game to set up playaction, which translates well to the pros, so it would probably be a good transition. I'm guessing he'd be a good fit with Harry, as well.
if he's going to coach here, he's going to need to bring that beard back because he doesn't appear to have a chin.
I was just thinking “Coach VD” but being the son of a nurse, VD has stuck as venereal disease in my mind so that’s out.
Some of the comments on that are hilarious, ranging from “this is not news” to “Freeman is a disaster!”.
Bama had a decommit from a Top 200 TE 2024 today Figured that would be one guy pretty excited about Rees
