I gotta say, reading/hearing the reviews on CJ Carr, it's got me excited for 2025 and 2026...they (the ND Media) hasn't spoken about a QB recruit like this since Clausen??? he should be a SR in college right now
Portal opens back up today, interested to see some movement around the college football world. I bet we’ll see more after the spring games, though
Pretty sure we’re 4 or 5 schollies over the limit right now, so it’s inevitable we lose a few. D3 seems to think the losses will be to depth veterans, which would be ideal. Jayden Thomas is the biggest name I’ve seen floated.
Jayvon Boggs reminds me of Greathouse similar builds, both dominated at the top level in their respective states...both are under-ranked for what they have shown on film, neither is the fastest but both are smart, physical, dominant players i hope ND gets Jayvon and/or Tanook to go with Derek Meadows I think ND should recruit Bettis Jr as an athlete and bring in 5 WRs Burress Jr Shaun Terry Tanook Boggs Meadows that would be an elite WR class
So it appears our new starting punter graduated college in 2015 and has a linkedin profile. https://www.linkedin.com/in/goinseric/
It could also mean he wanted to leave ND for non football reasons. It does happen. Hell Jay Bramblett was a good example.
Listening to John Brice repeatedly say "very soon," I wonder if there won't be some facilities announcement wrapped into the hype of B&G weekend.
Mike frank was asked in his latest podcast if he expected an announcement on new facilities during the blue and gold weekend and for once in a fucking blue moon he simply said yes and did not even preceded it with 5 ´I don’t know’ while trying to dance around an answer
Damn Dre brown quit to go to Illinois. Hasn’t heard great things but an annoying time to fill that role.
Based on the fact that the ND beat is saying CJ Carr can do no wrong, I assume he will also be punting for us this year.
Sounds like ND BBall just got a transfer from Princeton. A guard who can shoot. Matt Allocco is his name. OH native. Two time 2nd team All Ivy League selection. "During the 2023-24 season, Allocco averaged 12.7 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game. He’s a quality passer with good vision. He’s also a terrific shooter. Matt Allocco is a career 41.2% 3-point shooter, and he’s coming off a season in which he stroked it from beyond the arc at a 42.7% clip. That’s actually not the best rate of his career, either, with Allocco shooting it 45.2% from beyond the arc as a freshman in 2021-22."
Interesting. An upgraded replacement for Lewis, of course, but with Gray supposedly being the real deal, and Mickey still emerging, I wonder where he fits in the pecking order. Could be compete at slot/nickel? Then again, reports on Clark are glowing. CB depth and talent is going to be important thus season, and injuries could quickly impact that.
Chance Tucker has flashed some seemingly in camp but he’s not what we need at 4th if a portal option is there
I guess my real question is whether a guy like that is looking to be the fourth CB somewhere. Maybe, if the price is right.
What a huge waste of resources. They spent $40MM on some sort of football facility in 2018 and now they’re spending $100,000,000+ on a new “facility.” What will they do with the old ones? Wreck them? “Repurpose” them? For what? What will ND have invested in football? $250,000,000, including stadium upgrades, since 2000? They have a bloated AD staff, to say nothing of a bloated football staff—what’s next here? Someone to breakdown the subtle differences in rushing left handed QBs? And the endowing of football coaching and staff positions. What a waste of money! Tell the folks that want to do that to endow a homeless shelter with meaningful job placement and mental health services, etc. ND can’t even make the claim that the money from football makes any kind of dent in the operating budget. Any contribution is a rounding error. The one last thing standing between ND and football factory status is the requirement to get a degree and even that is going by the wayside as players are shown the door to make room for the next class. But, hey, “we” can win a title! Who’s “we”? None of us are getting rings, invited to team reunions, etc. “Yeah, the team I picked to root for beat your team!” What an accomplishment!
Fucking gold. Assuming this is 4HL? It's like you asked ChatGPT to write a 4hl post complaining about the price tag. They are exactly who they are.
Me personally, I'm generally in favor of other people spending very large amounts of their own money to make my favorite football team marginally better. He actually almost had me in the first half with the part about there being better things to do with that money, but when he got back around to football factory I checked out.
