Oh my god, the part about killer instinct and getting complacent lol…he needed to say that to a mirror
woke up to a Sampson reply from exactly 12:00AM “Haha. Appreciate the Region Rat reference. Lots of family ties over that way”
I doubt it unless they really want to penalize Oregon. Everybody else won by ridiculous numbers against trash teams ahead of ND.
Normally I’d agree but something should be said for week 1 performance. So much faith in preseason rankings. They should shuffle things up a bit.
Crazy to see how lopsided the scores were this week. 1 Georgia 34-3 2 Ohio St 52-6 4 Texas 52-0 5 Alabama 63-0 6 Ole Miss 76-0 3 Oregon was in a game against Idaho 24-14 7 ND over tamu 24-13 8 PSU over wvu 34-12 9 Michigan over fresno st 30-10 I’d drop Oregon to 8. Hard to jump any of those other teams but could see ND as high as 5. Imagine being USC starting all the way at 23 and beating 13 ranked lsu but not moving up much because of preseason rankings. Should be top 15 at least.
Huge relief on Faison, never good when someone can’t put pressure on the ankle Wonder when Evans will be full, full go again - maybe hold until Louisville ?
Great question by prister, asking freeman about the gameplan and sneaking in that maybe it was because Leonard’s strength is not to push the ball downfield. you can tell the guy coached baseball at notre dame at some point :) it was actually a good question and gave him some material.
The freeman answer on adon shuler is why these coaches are so good. That is exactly how you should do it and evaluate
Oh lord, this weekend can’t get better, right? i am now expecting Salma Hayek to show up at my door begging me for sex.
Nothing weird happened, kelly being an asshole is what happens everyday and why denbrock wanted to work with freeman instead. the only thing that I heard on the podcasts (I am far from an insider) is that after the 2015 season kelly actually kind of demoted denbrock and had the nepotism qb coach come in and have a bigger say in game planning and playcalling. It did not sit well with denbrock. And when the season went to shit Kelly was ok with sacrificing denbrock
Granted, a few of these guys aren’t exactly always bearable with their takes, but I appreciate the hell out of Driskell, Flammang/Jamie, and Goolsby for actually understanding the Xs and Os of the game and doing in-depth breakdowns. For example, Goolsby just released a 90 minute All 22 breakdown on his Patreon. I give our beat quite a bit of flak for some things, but I’m glad we get this level of football analysis. What A&M fans said about Jamie U’s article a few days back is spot on. We’re lucky to get this type of coverage.
we consume it or it would not exist, but you are right. We got a good beat, very professional for that business. Holland is a prime example of a complete clown.
I also really like O'Malley and Brice together on II. They make Prister and sometimes Sampson's curmudgeoness more bearable.
i like prister nowadays, he will retire soon and i think we will all miss him a little deep down. Dude will still be a legend. That is one hell of a career edit-for a failed baseball coach
I actually hate how old Prister, Sampson, and O’Malley are getting cuz I’m getting old right a long with them
