I want to buy two tickets but really cannot fathom paying 1k+ in fees for two tickets. Would love to cut out a middle man if anyone hears of two extras.
Guy always could run routes. He’s been technically sound since high school, just never was a burner. He was CJ Williams but bigger.
I bet he got a few good releases inside on that dude earlier and good to greathouse completely fooled him by faking going inside again
He had the perfect foil in BK. Now that there isn’t someone for him to be a dick about he’s worthless.
My theory is that Vegas has an enormous liability on OSU for full year futures - they were the most bet team throughout the season, when the bracket was revealed, etc. Think they are baiting this line to put most of the action on ND, so if OSU wins and they lose on the full seasons, they at least clean up on this game. Or maybe they think we stink - who knows. Most advanced stat sites imply it'll be a ~6-7 pt game - if not closer
Not much above - random appointment on short notice at the local spot. Guys saw my nd shirt and said that is who was before me lol.
Honest question - what's the best QB performance against Golden in the last two seasons? Maiava despite two pick 6's? Has any QB had a better than average game against us? I know OSU is loaded everywhere and is by far the biggest challenge, but seeing a lot of assumptions OSU is just going to put up 30+ and I just dunno
the Louisville qb played well also but your point is a good one, it’s why I push back on the narrative that psu lost because of allar and that a different qb would have done better. Nd does this to all of them
without cam Hart and bmo. And we were talking about the last 2 years…but if you want to do this, go look at cj stroudt stats versus that secondary when healthy early in the season. He was well below his usual stats
correct and without golden double blitzing safeties he has half the yards he had in that game not sure Golden ever ran a double safety blitz again vs any competent qb
The fun thing about the last two rounds is that the data has constantly beaten the narratives. Everyone said Georgia would and should run down our throats, despite the fact that statistically Georgia was never able to establish the run game all season long. It was the worst Georgia run offense over the past few years according to every metric. That run game showed up against ND, not surprisingly. Everyone said Drew Allar would be able to make a statement in the passing game despite not actually showing it in big games previously. He has the NFL arm. It was his statement game. Turns out, his stats in that game were extremely close to previous big games he played in. Who would’ve thought? The entire narrative of this game will be about how overmatched we are. They have more talent everywhere. We don’t match up. The data states otherwise though. It’s close to even almost everywhere. We’ll see if the data is right again. I hope it is.
I think part of it is the estimation that osu has that gear above what they played all of the regular season, meaning those advanced figures are somewhat depressed
I wish I had faith in Riley because I think the aggression and intensity y’all play with is exactly how you have to attack Ohio State or you’re going to die a slow death of a thousand cuts. If he can stay in the 15-20 pass attempts range and trust in everyone else to make things happen, ND is going to be in it until the bitter end. I know this isn’t groundbreaking insight, but he just needs to remember 3 yards here and 4 yards there is sometimes all you need.
We need to cut down game time by limiting possessions and then make a few big plays on defense or special teams. If we can do that, we have a shot. If we can’t, we’re in the deep end.
The one thing that gives me confidence is how good Riley is in short yardage situations. If you stay ahead of the sticks, get yourself in 3rd and 4th and manageable, and then convert to keep their offense off the field, you’re in business. We need some 7+ minute drives of ugly offense and he can do that.
Will Denbrock be patient if OSU comes out hot and builds an early lead? Sticking with the gameplan, and what’ you do that got you to this point, is critical. Trust who you are and do what you do well. You can suck OSU into playing your game if you’re patient enough and the defense holds.
when ND takes those 4 yards they have overwhelmed everyone over 60 minutes Leonard tried to do to much vs NIU, Miami OH, and PSU first half 100% correct take
That’s the worry. If we get down early, we’re cooked. And not just cooked, it might totally get away from us. Granted, I do think Denbrock will have the correct mindset. But I have PTSD from past ND performances in these situations.
Just noticed something on the kiser int that should have stood, that was almost the same play he got burned before by Warren when he got banged up on the sideline. this Time he was not getting fooled, the entire defense saw It and then on the Gray pick It was also the same kind of play and they took away Warren again and made allar panic incredible coaching The play that works starts at 15:40
I think it’s been underrated how we got punched in the mouth pretty badly against both Georgia and Penn State. Georgia could have gotten us down 10-0 without the early fumble and controlled the first 20 mins of game time , Penn State looked like past playoff games up until the two minute drill - they easily should have been up 14-17 on us But we made halftime adjustments and dominated both games from the beginning of the middle 4 onward. That takes a lot of my “oh god, we’re going to get down 14-0 and wilt” fear away - if we get punched in the mouth, a third time, so be it. And what happens if we come out hot? I think we’ve played two B games the last two weeks frankly and still won
