Good, spread that rumor.
Next replace Dropkick Murphys with Outkast for kickoffs. Don’t even care if a song relates. Just send these assholes over the edge.
if bringing on a kid who went to Cranbrook and Harvard has anything to do with NIL, it’s that he’ll be the one funding it.
There is a new south bend/ND rap song floating around, it’s pretty bad, use that.
I'm over the moon about playing an HBCU game, the golden recruiting throne, the turf, the video board, and especially our 36 year old minority head coach, but ditching Dropkick Murphys is just a bridge too far for this 40-something mosh pit veteran who refuses to give those memories up.
State champions in football and basketball this year
If you’re in, you gotta go all in son. Think about how hype this would be. I know I’m already asking too much, but let’s kill some oldheads.
Shipping Up to Boston is six years NEWER than this song.
I don’t listen to any rap after 2010
NilesIrish what you got?
honestly, as a white European im probably less versed on the subject than almost everybody, but its all been downhill since the untimely death of mr Shakur
So you're just a blue hair of a different genre. Heh heh. Honestly, I was surprised at the lack of uproar at the time when they started using Dropkick Murphys in the first place. That's not exactly a "yellow seats" band.
Oh most definitely. I’m old enough to really hate this mumble rap, so if you got better, let me know.
They still play crazy train, so….
The opening kick off song should be a rotation of Chief Keef and Lil Durk. Own the Chicago connection.
whatever the kids/students like and the old people hate ... i am here for.
Then you’re gonna love our black coach
I am reassessing and now believe it should be industry baby by lil nas X, it’s a banger and, he is black, gay, and got caught up in devil worship stuff. It’s perfect.
some Clemson CBs incoming for Absher, would be a bummer to miss out on that kid
They just offered. Has he even visited yet?
not saying its a done deal, but a few CBs at the same time, not just from Clemson mods is worse than not having that
He seemed like a clemson lean for a while
Absher visited ND for the 1/29 weekend for the first time and declared ND his leader after the visit (hence Loy's CB)
He recently visited Clemson and is now a Clemson lean. He's visiting there again this weekend where many think he will commit. If he makes it out of that visit uncommitted and visits ND for BG weekend as planned, then I think he's coming to ND. Most likely though, he's going to Clemson as of now. Distance is the biggest factor here.
Another little shot at osu.
I get the strategy by Freeman to chase the best of the best but I still remained completely baffled how ND doesn't try to own Chicago and Indiana first then fill out the rest of a class nationwide. Its amazing how many good kids locally and up at Big Ten schools and excel that ND never recruits
If that kid commits to Clemson next weekend, I assume there's five low 4 stars in the midwest ready to take his place.
who are we talking about here? Or is it just a general statement?
They should just take him now
He’s gonna end up in the class
its baffling same with Elzy
You all know me, I’m always doing some digging to get some scoop. Talked to a few different folks about how the spring is going and wanted to pass along what was said to me. Keep in mind this is me relaying what I’m being told by others, this isn’t my observations.
*** The offensive line continues to get rave reviews for its work against the defense. A source I have on defense who constantly hammered how bad the OL was last spring said this, “OL is night and day compared to last year.” Went on to say that it has been Joe Alt that has been the team’s best OL this spring. I was told directly that the feeling is he’s already playing at a first round NFL Draft pick level. Not that he could be a first rounder, but that he’s playing like that now.
*** Blake Fisher has been really good as well but consistency has been a bit of an issue for him at times. Was told he’ll take some plays off at times and he’s been a bit chippy after the whistle at times, but when he’s on he’s really, really good.
*** There are some concerns about the defensive line, at least based on a production standpoint, but it seems much of that is based on how good the offensive line has been. Also, there’s no Jayson Ademilola this spring and Isaiah Foskey has been limited in team periods. The interior has been especially an issue, although Howard Cross continues to be mentioned as one interior player that has been making plays.
*** One defensive lineman that has been a consistent receiver of praise from my sources is Rylie Mills. He’s playing inside and outside, but I’m told when he’s been outside he’s been really, really good and this is from multiple sources. I’m curious if there comes a point where the staff just decides to leave him outside since he has apparently been so much better there this spring and had by far his best game last year playing big end.
*** Al Washington raved about Tyson Ford during an interview this morning, I mean raved about him. I’m told that Ford is still very raw technically but he’s a really good worker and he picks things up quickly. But beyond that the staff was high on Ford coming in, but I’m hearing that he’s been even better than expected. Folks at Notre Dame are fired up about his potential.
*** It’s not close in regards to who the best linebacker is for Notre Dame. That would be Marist Liufau. If I had a nickel for every time I was told “Marist is going to be a problem for teams this season” I would be able to go buy me a case of Mountain Dews.
*** Safety Brandon Joseph has been a star for Notre Dame this spring. I mean a legit star. Shaun and Vince talked about the interception he made during the open practice. I’m told that’s a normal thing for him in practice. I was told he had three interceptions during team today. One person went so far as to say this, and I’m literally copying and pasting the text I received today by someone at ND …. “Brandon Joseph is showing flashes that he could be as good/better than Kyle. He had three picks today in term periods. He gets at least a pick a per practice”
*** The quarterbacks have been a bit up and down, but people are pleased with their progress. Tyler Buchner is the best playmaker of the group and I’m told he’s had the better spring, but Drew Pyne has been good as well and he’s been coming on lately and making a lot of plays with his arm. Pyne’s leadership and moxey stands out while Buchner’s playmaking stands out for him.
That’s all for now, will try and get more later.
A case of Mountain Dew is what, 4 bucks?
That’s still 80 times hearing someone say Marist will be a problem for teams. Maybe he’s listening to his cast again
I have no idea what a case of Mt. Dew costs anymore, not sure if that's good or not.
That would still be 80 nickels, and it's probably twice that much, so 160 mentions of Marist.
One of the better back and forths that I've read itt. You boys taking this show on the road?
snl here we come
That didn’t work out too well for the last guy. I think I’ll pass
that was the joke ;)
probably not a good one
