If you think this is fun just wait for 2 hours when Bowen flips
Yea it’s happening tonight imo.
He has started liking a ton of ou flip stuff on Twitter and has his in-home with O’Leary tonight.
And Hayes fawcett is teasing an announcement about an elite 2023 recruit at 8 est
I am ashamed to know this but he also retweeted a graphic about ou and then deleted it from February. Probably sending Hayes an example of what he wants
I doubt mama Bowen would let him de-commit on the in home.
Idk I would ask my kid to break the news face to face
This last page needs to be burned
Eh, I wouldn’t waste their time, he had his chance to do it on the phone with the head guy and didn’t. Unless we’re insisting on getting in the room with him I don’t think they’d waste O’Leary’s time.
i can do 2 out of these 3 things and I guarantee you that it doesn’t make the third one more enjoyable for anybody in this thread
that sentence does not make sense but you know what i mean.
Note* I'm not saying he won't flip, just that I have a hard time seeing it happen on an in home where we are clearly pitching for our life, my guess is they have a great in home, he re-affirms his commitment, and then he flips on signing day.
Nothing would surprise me anymore but honestly it will be such a grind trying to keep up with all of this stuff that my mindset will be to just look at it with a big picture idea, shit will happen and good shit will also happen. Just hope nd is on top when the roster for next year is set in stone.
This new world annoys me a little but it really is like the nfl now, every new year brings a new team and the continuity is non existent.
This is where I am, this shit is going to be wild for a couple years until hopefully it calms down. IMO we are in a better position leadership wise for this era of cfb than we were, not because Kelly wouldn't be ok but because MF's youth and adaptability will function better at an "inflexible" place.
I could not care less about recruits at this point. Maybe he’s special on a tea that wins 6-7 games a year in the SEC, but any kid who watches OU defensively and wants to be part of that would t be at ND long anyways
also where i am at, if Bowen is not completely in there is a good shot he transfers out very early. It’s a one year deal for every player every year now.
Team don’t fucking care. I’d trade a thousand Bowens for a single Keylee so this won’t hurt a bit.
Coach D’s podcast teasing “a couple names who will enter the portal in the next week or two that will make your jaw drop”
Didn’t seem like that was in reference to nd
Javien Toviano or something released a top 8
Fawcett's countdowns never live up to the hype
I hate everybody that ever said that sc being good is good for nd, I fail to see how any of this is any good for nd
That’s absolute bullshit, wish they were 0-12 every year. That would be great for ND
Always interesting when the beat guys RT this stuff
Coach d. Yikes.
Based on conversations with multiple sources the starter is going to be Tyler Buchner, but there’s potentially a bit more to it than that. Buchner still has some hurdles he needs to clear before he’s ready to be the full-time, every snap quarterback, but he’s on path to get there. As we’ve known for a bit (and so have all of you), he’s been practicing for a couple of weeks and supposedly he’s looked pretty good throwing the ball. The shoulder injury and the fact he has just been focusing on throwing has supposedly helped him refine some things and he’s been sharp.
Whether he’s ready for the contact to play in a game is still a bit of a question mark, but he’s on track for that.
Now here is where it gets interesting. I was given an alert to this earlier today and did some digging with several sources, and it sounds like Drew Pyne wasn’t only upset about Notre Dame bringing in a transfer quarterback and having to compete for the job in the spring, he wasn’t going to be starting in the bowl game either as long as Buchner kept passing the different benchmarks to being healthy. When he was told this it was relayed to me that he didn’t receive it well at all, and neither did his family. That’s when the decision was made to not only transfer, but to do so now. Here’s the other part, I was told tonight that he didn’t give the coach’s the heads up he was going to transfer. He left the meeting, had his talks with family and just made the move. That fits with my earlier digging, as the folks I reached out to at Notre Dame seemed genuinely surprised that he was making the move he made. Everyone was stunned by it.
I have different feelings on Buchner starting right now. I am concerned about Buchner playing now and getting hurt again. Pyne felt he deserved to be able to start the bowl game, and I understand that feeling. I’m also a believer in a guy not losing his starting job because of an injury unless the guy who replaced him is playing lights out, and Pyne certainly wasn’t doing that. I was told tonight that Notre Dame wanted to see what they had with Buchner behind the OL they have playing now and the run game they have now, instead of what he had to deal with back in September. I get the desire to do that, especially with a transfer coming in, but I hope the staff knows the kind of blowback it will cause. (This paragraph is from me, not sources)
Back to what I’m hearing.
Pyne was a very, very well liked member of the football team and was very respected. Buchner is liked, but he kind of keeps to himself and doesn’t have the same respect that Pyne has. It’s not that the players don’t want to play with or for Buchner, there’s just a level of respect for Pyne. The players know he’s not very good, trust me, but at least some of them, based on conversations I had with some sources tonight (not players), it sounds like they aren’t thrilled about the way this went down and that Buchner seemed to be handed the job back without having to really battle for it.
That’s me relaying what I’m told, and it likely doesn’t represent how everyone feels, but enough for it to potentially create an issue if it’s not handled properly over the next few weeks, and if Buchner doesn’t play well in the bowl game. That’s a lot of pressure to put on him for this game
This game proves nds gameplan was scared and trash just like osu
Not too worried about any of this, pyne handling it the way he did will make the team rally around the other qb.
letting them run was a terrible idea, they should’ve been way more aggressive imho
Yeah if that’s true, the coaches fucked up.
Has Bowen moved into Norman yet?
He wore an undershirt and pajamas to his meeting with ND coaches tonight lol
So his stuff probably is in Normal tbh
you got a problem with comfy clothes my friend?
I don’t know what to make of this post so I will just assume that it’s bad or good
Something you wear when you’re like “oh shit, he’s coming tonight isn’t he?”
if I were a five star player with coaches showing up to convince ME to play for them I’d show up in the living room with boxers and socks on.
He’s not coming and you shouldn’t really care.
i agree, and looking at his left hand he is injury prone
looks awfully small to me imo
the next prospect that nd gets at safety will be a little less talented but a better ´fit’ imo
Coach D said Bowen’s junior film was really bad and senior year was ok, tho sophomore was transcendent
Wise man once said a great pass rush makes great DBs.
The nd gameplan on defense was so awful, played right into Riley’s hand
Just like it was awful vs Denard. But in both cases ND fans acted like the defensive game plans were perfect and the kid was Superman.
the one going to ou
So they just don’t call holding against SC
