Didn't realize Biagi is the guy behind the punt return where the dude caught it and acted like it was a fair catch and then when the other team slowed he took off and scored. Love shit like that.
Sure: 2021 Purdue: 103rd out of 130 2020 Purdue: 114th out of 127 2019 North Texas: 33rd out of 130 2018 North Texas: 53rd out of 130 2017 North Texas: 18th out of 130 Seems pretty bad, and the articles I've skimmed seem to all reference his time at North Texas at his high water mark. What am I missing? (Side Note: Just looked it up for Mason ... went from 101st to 35th to back-to-back 12th in four years at UC, then 6th at ND ... what a coach)
Think the carryover affect from Mason will be there. Also think its huge emphasis for MF. So I think it will likely not be as good as Mason who was arguably the best STC in college football but I don't expect 100s either.
Mason's been top 12 for three straight years and got better every single year at UC, its literally the opposite I'm honestly not trying to be a dick, but it seems like this guy was an up-and-coming ST coordinator for a non-Power 5 school and has thrown up three straight dud seasons in his only three years as an ST coordinator at Power 5 programs. Then he gets hired pretty much the moment Mason leaves instead of interviewing other guys who are having better trajectories. Just seems like Kelly friend/relationship style hiring. Hope it works out!
FWIW D3 says this is not a done deal by any means yet. He is saying the other sites are jumping the gun
Listened to the mailbag today walking the dog; D3 is a big 2nd amendment guy and he would teach his players the local gun laws so they didn't run into trouble...
This is the content I come here for. D3 is positively deranged. Thank goodness for ND football, Mountain Dew and Jesus, otherwise that fool would be on multiple watch lists.
You can not like it but how does this make sense? There is no crossover with Marcus and Baigi. Not sure I follow the friendship thing. Biagi was interested in the job last year and I'm not sure if he was given an interview cause MF wanted Mason but even so. Marcus best friends so far on staff were Mickens, Mason and Parker. Not sure but maybe we need more friends
ehh he hasn’t had his big Nebraska visit yet no way NU let’s him go- they are gonna give him 10+ million
The same guy who found Stuckey and Mason likes him. Honestly, at this point, ND could win a title on a last second field goal and I think you'd run here and worry that they'll never repeat because that kicker graduates and the next guy on the roster is an unproven transfer from the MAC. Biagi seems to be well thought of. Yes his numbers outside of NT aren't great, but if we've learned anything about ST, it's that a HC and their approach to and support for ST makes all the difference...especially when it comes to what personnel is available. I don't think we'll have a problem there. And you're not being a dick, and I'll admit there can be overconfident sunshine pumping, but on the other hand the same 2 or 3 posters find a reason to while about the sky falling over every single thing that happens with this program.
We like the blocked punts and all, but a 40 yard fg being better than 50/50 proposition would be nice.
The stats are a little misleading too. Like a 2 yard different in return average moves you 50 spots one way or the other
ND hockey down to 18th in the Pairwise rankings That’s a very ominous sign for the 16 team NCAA Tournament
Foskey saying he wouldn’t have come to ND because of NIL and he openly questioned why some of the freshmen came who had real money offers from other schools lol
I love how he said ND does NIL but you have to “work for it” while you don’t at other schools Thanks Isaiah
That’s the same as an ND education compared to other schools. Doesn’t really move the needle. People that don’t want to do “the work” aren’t looking at ND. Why would NIL be any different?
A star player who probably made a few hundred grand this year, has an ND degree, and will be a late 1st / early 2nd round pick pretty much just handed every outside coach incredible negative recruiting ammo on a plate and some of you are wondering why the last 3 months are turning me into Oscar the Grouch
Oh, everything he said was total #Facts but would it be that hard to say: "At ND, I was given the opportunity to succeed and I worked hard and ended up getting anything players with guaranteed NIL offers got and more, because I got an ND degree. It's appealing to just get a boat load of money today, and I understand its not for everyone - heck, if I was going through this again it would be a tough decision - but I'm really happy with how it turned out."
Biggest question mark for Foskey as an NFL prospect? Motor and secondary pass rush moves Apparently his NIL motor is not a plus trait either
I saw that Jaden Mickey wrote a book for middle schoolers, if we don’t have NBC doing hits on it in the first game, etc. we aren’t nil’ing right.
