Honestly there’s like 40+ 4 star type players expressing lots of interest again which is similar to last year our narrow shot at 5 stars does not seem to be panning out again but that’s unlikely to change unless ND starts doing the bag game It will be a 6-12 type class
Where in the hell is a 12-14 class coming from in March? One update from Loy? Gotta get you fuckers some hairshirts.
Ummm, excuse me. Even though I dip my toe in the doom side, I’m a one man act… Well two of you include SD_Irish but were a compact group.
Here's an actual picture of the three of us fending off Lord Driskelmort and his death eaters. So I have effeminate features.
Guys, Carr is really all that matters this class. If he plays like a 5* we will be in good shape. That's what will set the result apart from Killy classes. Aside from that, there will be a bunch of dudes ranked 75 - 275 with hopefully a good amount towards the higher end.
Partly rattling some cages on Team Not D&G, partly seems like we're only sitting good for a bunch of low 4 star types and I have a weird feeling Cam Williams ends up elsewhere Other than the CB committed to Tenn (name escapes me) and Rushing visiting, seems like its all kinda been not great news last few months with 2024
It's 11 months before the first signing day. And you're taking your cues from a reporter who seems to have gone decidedly more conservative after taking shit from fans after things didn't go as rosy as he'd previously predicted. Go see where his predictions were in March 22. Then take a deep breathe and change your britches.
Raiola was committed to Ohio St. a full month before Carr picked ND. They didn't pass on him for Carr. You have to recruit kids who want you to recruit them.
It’s been widely reported by multiple ND beat writers that he was ready to commit to us but we prioritized Carr.
Yeah. Hell, he backed out of Ohio St. which may be producing the #1 overall draft pick at QB next month. He wasn't coming to Notre Dame and passing on Carr in hopes that he would would have been dumber than pushing some of the QBs away that they did while waiting for Dante. People just need reasons to piss pants.
Loy has never said that. And I listened to too many hours of D3 and never heard him say that. Besides, like I said. He bailed on OSU to continue the recruiting game. Passing on Carr on that chance would have been a horrible idea. Do you honestly think if he'd committed to ND when Carr did that he'd still be committed?
I was so confused. Raiola is a Nebraska legacy and had been committed to OSU for some time. I agree on Sayin. I wanted him from the jump even before the Carr rumors came out and would trade for him in a heartbeat.
Yes. It was always Carr or Sayin. But Sayin was always going to be a tough fight, too. Though much more realistic. But of course he ended up with Bama. At least as of now. Do you think he would have stayed with ND when Rees left?
Rees was the reason why he went to Bama. And he may be the reason why he doesn’t stay at Bama. It will be interesting to see how that one plays out.
Rees coached 5 games at ND AFTER Sayin committed to Bama in early November. Raiola? Wrong. Went to Bama because of Rees? Also wrong. Too much D3 apparently rots the brain.
If we had Moore in our pocket, then Sayin made more sense. From a risk/reward standpoint once Moore was out it makes more sense to go with Carr because he is way more likely to stick.
This, recruiting will take care of itself if we produce on the field, negative recruiting us right now has to be very easy. Win 10-11 games, blow some people out and look fun doing it and Freeman will be right back to being the croot whisperer.
I think for the most part on this site we have a rational fanbase with relatively intact brain cells but too many of you sub to the content created by a guy who has maybe a 7th graders ability to write, doesn't believe the 2020 Election was legit and is an emotional baby whose thoughts change at every whim. Stop following that creature, stop giving him money
ND is gonna start 4-0 dropping 50 spots on everyone. I expect a lot of cruits to be lining up to come visit for OSU and USC after that
Imagining a “God - Country - Notre Dame” type sign in his living room that just says “Game Film - Insurrection - Dew”
disagree. believing everything you read in gossip rags isn't rational behavior. that happens a lot here.
If you didn’t know who D3 was and just heard him talking at the bar, you’d roll your eyes. He’s the worst parts of Rivals back in the day given a site.
I get why they announce it ahead of time when they are playing Cal or whatever, but for Ohio State they really should hold it back until they run out of the tunnel.
yeah I didn't realize it either until I saw someone started the OSU/ND game thread and put that tweet in there. This marks the second most annoying thing that someone has decided to do for the Ohio State game, behind my cousin deciding to get married that day.
There are 8 ND alums and 1 Ohio State fan from my family alone. And the wedding is in the Chicago suburbs so I'm guessing we aren't the only ones who will be watching. The OSU fan is my sister in law who is the single most annoying sports fan I know, so if the game is close (it probably will be) and people get sloppy drunk (I definitely will be), the reception could get interesting.
