Moving from zone scheme (which our OC loves) to a gap scheme (which our OL coach loves) as an adjustment just shows how much this coaching staff is willing to work together. No ego move.
I just want to say that now having met a number of you in person at games, this ND message board group is - to a man - an awesome group of people. I have had not one bad interaction with any of you bastards. Good humored, fun and always good company - we are fortunate to be a part of this little community of ND denizens. I mean that. Now, for those of you I have not yet met, your peers have set a high bar. But I look forward to crushing a few beers with each if you in the future. Now let's go win the whole damn thing.
now that I live in Chicago I really gotta make my way to south bend and crash someone’s tailgate I haven’t been to an ND game post Covid yet
would be easy for me to get there since I live right on the blue line too ok I’m making it happen in 2025
so many emotions from last night's game, I was totally exhausted mentally and so elated at the same time it was the best sleepless night I've ever had in my life, I was just so amped up the game was so incredible w/ so many ups and downs and that pick by Gray at the end of the game sent me through the roof, I knew we were winning at that point, but I loved how aggressive ND was with that third down play to get Jeter closer and that kick was money so so happy today!
Only negative from last night is someone took my Rhoback ND blue sweatshirt from under my seat after the game (sold out so can't reorder). Who steals someone else's shirt from under their seat at a fucking game? PSU fans were behind us including this college-aged kid who was a little bratty so he might have taken it to throw it out to piss me off, but we didn't get into it at all other than arguing about the PI on Shuler, so I'm not sure why he would have. It was the season good luck charm!
I would pray he gets the start at LT if Knapp can't go. Baker against whatever edge rusher we face is bad news
Man, we didn't even have a player grade as a 75 and beat a top 5 team? Just find a way to win every time lol
I don’t think it can be understated how much it matters that ND has been playing playoff football since week 3. Another loss after NIU would have been it, but they keep fighting and willing themselves to wins. My only real fear left is that the defense works when they can cover man. Every receiving corps this year has been worse than the dbs. Ohio St receivers are the best in the country and covering them might be tough, but like I said last night, why the fuck not boys!
My wife bought me the Riley roback shirt. I wore it for A&M. I didn’t for NIU I have worn it for every other game. if we win, I will frame it.
has there been a two-sport national champion since Jared Mitchell/Chad Jones at LSU? perhaps a woman who played field hockey/lacrosse or something but I can't think of a football player who would've won in another sport too
So glad Jagusah is playing and played well last night, I really had him as the next first round ND OL and I kinda punted on this season when he got hurt
Texas beating OSU tonight would be a higher increase in raw Notre Dame Championship Probability than Notre Dame beating Indiana was In other words today is the third biggest game in ND's season (if you believe in math)
I'd guess we have win prob of 45% against Texas and 35% against OSU So our xNC tonight would go up 10%ish
not a terrible guess but unfortunately a bit optimistic (which is weird considering the sandbagging in here yesterday) Currently: 27% Texas wins: 40% OSU wins: 21% So I have today's game as a 19% xNC game, while the IU game was the difference between 0% and 18% for me (so 18% xNC)
Not as good of a chance now as there could be if Texas wins (and Alfred Collins and Jahdae Barron get mono from sharing the same bottle of champagne as Anthony Hill)
Not surprising with the mash unit Nd is throtting out there. I Hope one of the two oline will be good to go in 11 days .
I'm really going to enjoy watching a game not officiated by this crew Multiple controversial PIs, no holding calls ever, spots that seemed to screw us in both games. Get 'em out
Let the minor injuries that are a few weeks in nature but not long term debilitating be plentiful. Oprah:You get a high ankle sprain, You get a high ankle sprain, You get a high ankle sprain. We all get high ankle sprains!
I just listened to the hit and hustle pod and the officiating was brought up . Who is more sad here, franklin or the réf? Right after the fg was good View attachment upload_2025-1-10_16-11-53.jpeg
