Catching up on everything going on the past few days. Watch Brown's tape, that guy is not a 3 star. I may like him the most of the WRs that are uncommitted aside from maybe Finley. Get those two and either of Robinson or Fitzgerald and I would be very pleased with the WR class. Hell, I'd be pleased with just a group of 5 of any of the guys on the board at the moment. Also, yeah USC is going to have a ton of decommitments, the shock and awe strat does not work long time. I hope we have gone away from pushing guys and all our commits weren't pressured but even then I expect a decent amount of guys to decommit because of the nature of the game these days. Some programs NIL funds might clear out and they can make a huge offer to a guy we have committed though I know ND is up there these days with the NIL game. The other thing is Freeman will let guys loose if they stagnate or don't show growth so might have some casualties from that. I am not a fan of it but he has been straight up with kids about that policy at least
Shrewsberry also just hired Vandy's former S&C coach who has a top 100 son and an adopted 7 footer son from Mongolia so he is working his ass off. I hope it works out
Saw the announcement post and just assumed we didn’t like that our players look like kids compared to the elite teams. Nice to know there are other perks too.
At the very least he should be a solid rotational piece. Hard to imagine he won’t contribute in some way. Now go get someone who will be an impact player.
New Pope needs to stop being a coward and move a few percentage points from the tithe into Catholic University NIL's. His employer already did a pay for play with indulgences so it's not a matter of principle.
This is the way: Hola also highlighted what stands out about ND. “The numerous opportunities that I would have with my life after football. I enjoyed meeting and talking to former football players over the weekend and to hear where they are at now in their lives and their journey and what ND did for them.”
ND baseball now 28-19 having won something like 12 of the last 14. Solid NCAA bubble team. Pretty remarkable turnaround no matter how things shake out.
Until the Final Four, yes. They should beat Penn State next week, though this team has been a bit all over the place this season
That’s got Myron written all over it. Think he’ll quietly end up being the best addition of the offseason.
Saw Jaylon Smith is on the Raiders roster after retiring for a bit. Brian Van Gorder and Tyler Decker should be tried for war crimes. Would have loved to see what he could do fully healthy with competent people coaching him
decker is the only player in the NFL who i actively root for a horrific career ending injury and i have since that game
RB - Bonner RB - Walton WR - Browne WR - Finley WR - Fitzgerald OL - McKeough DL - Blade DL - Golden DL - Vallejo LB - King Stud - O'Brien DB - Reddish This likely will not all come to fruition but it is probably close to what they will close with which in previous classes would seem like wishcasting but I think they will get a majority of these players. Things are looking good (football wise)
Probably around there but a few guys will move up the rankings like Browne, Vallejo and McKeough. O'Brien not being a 5 starish prospect is crazy to me. I will take a class at that level considering all the Freeman classes have been ranked lower and have wildly outperformed expectations
At this point if we had a top 3 class it would be concerning given how much stronger the staff is at assessing talent vs. the recruiting services.
At some point they need to just auto put a 4 star on guys Mickens recruits because they are looking silly. Mickens offers a very small pool of players every year, Gets his guys and then turns them into studs
The ND OL stuff is always funny ND makes 10 total offers on OL- sign 5 of them. None are ever ranked in the top 100- all usually hit At somepoint you need to give ND an OL bump
Garvin I believe is a 4 star on only one site and if you watch him he is just an absolute animal mauler type of player
