Commits but says he will be taking more visits, I have followed enough recruiting to know how this ends
On3 had a piece from their national writer about 10 guys who impressed this week and it included O'Brien, Fitz, and Jarrard (2027 QB ND just offered). Fitz going to get a major bump, same with Jarrard
Loy. Dia Bell would be committed to Notre Dame right now if they offered and pushed early. It’s a fact. That said, they are happy with Grubbs and are excited about his potential. … but I wouldn’t be shocked if they reach out to Dia in the near future just to have an open dialogue. They absolutely should. It’s a business. Need to check all boxes. Competition creates greatness. IMO if you can get both, get both. But they 100% should make a run at Dia.
Reddish commitment date is set for July 11th So, does that mean all our '26 targets have commitment dates in July? That's crazy Maybe 1-2 spots for late bloomers I guess, but I don't know who will be realistically on the board in August or beyond unless we go for a second QB
It seems a lot of the super early commits that are kind of out of nowhere either get dropped or decommit so the trepidation is warranted but I hope they can hold onto him, he is explosive
BYU seems to think their starting qb is coming here. Nothing on the nd side. Seems like an absolute disaster of a move so assume it’s just wishful thinking from the kid.
for sure but if I put myself in the coaches shoes there is no downside to taking his commitment. He will definitely waiver at some point but you keep on him and keep that relationship going. And if he doesn’t get as good as you want you drop him.
There were never charges and the chick just had her case dismissed with prejudice. Pretty sure the kid just got laid.
me neither, maybe I misread the situation but they do not have the greatest reputation right now, to none of most of the people fault
Jews do not equal Israel. I got no problems with my Jewish friends but I got a big fucking problem with the Israeli government
Julius Jones Jr quote from yesterday With his ties to Notre Dame, Jones explained his thoughts on the program: "I think every school has its own special abilities and things they have for themselves, but Notre Dame really is one of one that has its own mystique, well-known across the world, not just in the United States. And being around that and just seeing that--my dad didn't even want to take me on a visit with nobody else. He wanted me to go by myself or go during the game and really see how good of a place it is and really take in the experience. It's more like an experience than a visit going on here, like a lot of other places. But yeah, it does have its great ability." As far as his dad's advice on attending Notre Dame? "He wants to come with me and show me around a little bit as well, but also for me to come in and just take it in and see how much of a great place it is," Jones said. "He's not biased. He wants the best for me and will always say that, but I don't think he'll be too bad if Notre Dame's not the pick, but you never know."
I took it as good and Dad is fully in ND's corner. His pops was suspended from ND for a year so I was concerned.
Julius could have transferred but if I recall the story, his brother Thomas, who was an excellent NFL RB in his own right, made him work out with him and go back to ND instead of taking the easy road out. Hopefully that story resonates with Julius' son and it lines up perfectly with Marcus' mantra about ND. Choose Hard™
I'm sorry but "they (Jews) do not have the greatest reputation right now"... what the fuck does this mean? Do you ever find yourself saying something like this about Catholics whenever news comes up about priests molesting young boys? Should we hate on incoming Catholic players because of this?
If the actions of the Israeli government are hurting the reputation of random American Jews in your eyes, than you need to look inward my friend. Appreciate 40 making that distinction clear in his follow up
This is a mistake I recently made. I think for some, or at least for me, it was a phrasing error. I think it’s a common mistake people are making, but a lot of that comes from politicians and the media blurring the lines like the NY election where candidates are being pressed on Israel when the focus needs to be Jewish people in that city. I’m not sure this makes it better but it’s an unfortunate mistake people are making right now. As a class that is constantly attacked I understand your frustration and hope it gets better.
Looks like the on3 merger is done. https://www.on3.com/teams/notre-dam...pter-what-sports-journalism-should-look-like/
Crazy plan they have to make rivals all hs recruiting and on3 the rest. Think they are well over-selling the brand recognition of rivals for us sports.
The on3 squad now is going to give 247 a run for its money I will say the new recruiting guy at 247 is really, really good. He worked in the recuiting department under bk.
Insider on d3s board Team gravitates toward Will Pauling…wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t at least mentioned as possible Captain..His transfer mate is a “flat out Dude” Speaking of both…Pauling and Fields both traveled with ND to Championship game in January…I found that interesting. CJ is very much a vocal leader already…look for him to do something similar to last summer’s trip with the Receivers. Speaking of…maybe the light has gone on for Cam. Cole Mullins is probably ready to contribute. The young TE Flanigan showed up ready to contribute early…and will. Not telling you anything you already don’t know…but we are in for another exciting season…and 26 could be even better. Good Times guys and gals…good times!!!
Everyone at Wisconsin liked Pauling and their QB situation makes ND look like the Packers by comparison. I actually think that the dirty work that used to go to tight ends may go to slot receiver types which either Pauling or Gratehouse can excel at.
