McIntosh had some decent runs behind an amazing ol in mop up time against beaten down defensive fronts. I would rather have him than not, but we don't necessarily know that he is anything special or better than these other plug in position transfers. In other words, I want him but Kelly shouldn't use up too much of his fuck up currency and on him.
He has vision, he was very productive. Sure it was in mop up sometimes but it was mop up for both teams. He looked better than tony jones and Nd needs all the depht possible at rb. Probably why he is still not completely dismissed.
I want him badly back on this team. He is that role player that will definitely help. I have no confidence on the other two rbs (Jones, Williams)
Nd doesn’t need hopefull , dex is that guy. Nd needs a steady runner that is tough and will take the yards. Getting McIntosh back would be huge, not so sure on Jones .
I think 8 carries for 32 yards. He did play on special teams a bit though. Saw a few posts that he may transfer to PSU. They are loaded at RB so that would be an interesting move. Sounds like no chance he plays at ND but I still like him way more than McIntosh.
I just never saw McIntosh as being the #1 back. Holmes in my opinion could have been. They burn his redshirt on special teams and I think he has more size and speed and could have been the #1 back for ND after this season....if he didn’t steal shit from Macy’s.
Holmes could’ve been a cierre wood but he is not close in talent and shockingly discipline. McIntosh is exactly what Nd needs. Holmes is a poor man dex. He can go fuck himself at psu or anywhere as far as I am concerned
It would be stupid to ever not burn the red shirt of a talented RB. Ever see one worth a damn stay five years anywhere? RBs want to get out and get started before the miles pile up. If they aren't good enough to leave after 3 or 4 years, you probably want their spot back anyway.
