Took me a minute to realize that his HS has the shitty Michigan helmets. They were in front of the table. Thought that was going to be it for a big surprise. Heart felt thanks to his grandpa then picks Irish. They blast the pre-kickoff song and it definitely gets the blood flowing for college football.
Him being self aware is step one and at least that is out of the way. This year's class is fine, it just would have been a lot cooler with Shipley and a couple more top 50 players.
Josh from OFD started to get into this then just kind of skipped an explanation and said something like "Edwards isn't coming to Notre Dame." This was last week before Rocco but seemed pretty confident.
It would have been nice to get a game in and permanently change the thread title to reference our all time 100% conference winning percentage.
Vaccine or just have this under much better control. Can’t be having 60k cases a day before schools get going. Can see us getting 6-8 games in the spring with this thing under control.
Kinda weird all these coaches and pundits talking about hearing the players and letting them use their voice to play when the same people were condemning them for asking for safety measures.
Updated - My ranking is based on how they will do in college. In parenthesis is the type of talent I believe they are 1. Buchner (top 25) 2. Fisher (top 25) 3. Spindler (top 25) 4. Lo Styles (top 100) 5. Gabe Rubio (top 150) 6. Ryan Barnes (top 150) 7. Philip Riley (top 150) 8. Abiara (top 150) 9. Berrong (top 150) 10. Prince Kollie (top 200) 11. Logan Diggs (top 250) 12. Chance Tucker (top 250) 13. Joe Alt 14. Justin Walters 15. Coogan 16. Onye 17. Mitch Evans I think we'll add TMA (from Hawaii, would be a top 10 player in this class) and Jayden Thomas (would probably place him after Walters). Landing 1 more of Thorton, Donovan Edwards, or Rucci/Milum would make this the best top 20 of the BK era IMO. I know some of those other classes went past 25 so it's hard to compare those types of classes to those with only 20 kids, but I think this class has so much potential. I am incredibly high on the top 5 guys in this class and this class fills holes that the 2020 class had (elite QB, elite Guards or RT if that's where Fisher plays, top level CBs and Safeties) The 2020 class had elite players at RB, TE, OT and top notch guys at DE (Botelho and Mills) Putting the 2 classes together shows a definite step in recruiting the top guys IMO and the two classes really compliment each other well
no, the rumor was that he would flip to Mich but that's completely died down keep in mind that his brother should be a top level prospect as well oh, and his mom posts on IrishEnvy so they seem like a pretty legit ND family
An un-named source said they are doing everything they can to play. Said to expect other conferences to cancel this week but not the ACC. That's the most I have heard.
Listening to Driskell’s new pod, good God he’s like a football Ben Shapiro. and in case you are wondering, this is America.
maybe because the outlet he set up was understaffed which meant they leached on articles by other outlets
Michael Jordan's parents were like 5'8 and 5'5. I googled an article about tall athletes with short parents and Jeremy Lin was on there and I giggled. Am I a racist or just a bad person?
Kelly was coming up on the Today Show when I left for work. Wonder if we get anything more than hope out of him after the shut downs yesterday.
We signed a deal with Guinness to be our official beer. Canceling that game in Ireland must have been a kick in the beanbag for their marketing team.
If they start selling things that have both ND and Guiness logos on it, I will never need to spend another minute wondering what to buy my dad for Christmas/father's day/birthday.
