Oh that's for sure. My point is that Wimbush even not being a great passer normally connects on intermediate stuff that would have kept you honest. We also ran WAY too much slow developing stuff, we had success running straight ahead. I'm taking nothing from Miami, we just looked much more out of sorts than I would have expected.
You had a couple misses on the first drive, but after that, almost every throw was into coverage. Miami easily could have had 5+ ints
Agreed and again Wimbush tends to make those. He was off in my opinion. He's no Manning by any means, but I think his left hand was bothering him as he sat and patted, I think it also slowed him taking snaps, and when a D is that fast split seconds matter. Overall point is Miami was really good, we've regressed, and I think a healthy Wimbush (and Adams, he looks wrong too) would have made the game more competitive.
Im not saying there aren't, but the tard factor I encountered yesterday can only by rivaled by DAY. I had a couple guys try and provoke fights with people was with. A majority were good people, but all the shitbag had a distinct look.
Some very interesting comments by their coaches and players after the game. They said they knew what we’re doing pre-snap on both sides of the ball all night. That plus one dimensional offense led by a QB that couldn’t handle the moment led to a boat race. Those turnovers killed us, and it could’ve actually been worse. They dropped two others in the first half and we held them to FGs deep in our own zone twice. Ugly game all around but give them credit. They’re a good team. And that stadium gets so much louder since the half top was added.
Yeah, the pre-snap thing is troubling. Either we just hadn't been figured out yet and they did an amazing job or we were tipping them off somehow which needs to be fixed ASAP. ND has been predictable at times, but they almost sound like they were in the booth with us.
Wouldn’t shock me if Wake was able to find something too considering how our D looked in that game. Then Miami obviously did. Back to back rough performances.
Good point. Wake knew Elko inside and out, so if they figured it out Miami watching tape of that game would have a huge benefit. Doesn't explain offense though.
Perfect example is the pick 6. Richt saw the formation, called the TO, and set the coverage to create the pick 6
And if miami has a healthy mark Walton y'all lose by 50. Stop whining about injuries. Miami hasn't had their best offensive player for a month and their second best has been banged up all season.
lol at calling that whining. I've stated we were losing no matter what, I'm trying to diagnose why it was so lopsided in a thread about Notre Dame.
Honestly the worst part about this game is that we can't gif that dude getting laid out and use it when talking about Miami for years to come.
Can’t stand people like this. This kid is a huge tool. Grew up in South Bend, is somehow a FSU fan apparently, and is posting stuff like this on Social Media. He got called out and immediately took down the post and was all over FSUs nuts. Spoiler
Call it what you want. You were definitely the better team, but your fanbase is literal ghetto trash. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive. Congrats on the win, but I understand CANE as a person better now. I met 2000 of him last night.
And that wigger needed a beating just for how he was dressed. I would not even leave my basement dressed like that
I had half a hot dog thrown at me at MSU from behind, Thankfully when I stood up to look I and the people I was with were like twice the size of the dweeb who did it, so he quickly apologized. I'm not about stupid shit like that, but that one had me mad as hell. I also had frat boys try to pick a fight with me at both MSU (I was like 16) and UM (this guy actually was having tickle wars with his dad behind us in the stands, it was weird.) I just laughed it off.
alright, if we are generalizing based on the worst fans, your fanbase is a bunch of geriatric racist fucks who demean women and teenagers.
It’s always the best decision to walk away, but it’s so fucking disrespectful. It’s hard to not just punch the drunk asshole. And you can tell that these two guys were harassed and made fun of by a large group for a while. Hilarious that once the first guy punched the drunk bastard who threw the beer all these canes fans backed the fuck up.
Oh I’m not saying I’m virtuous, the dude at MSU was going to get hit I was drunk and it really pissed me off but we stood up, 4 of us all pretty big guys and he recoiled fast, it was actually pretty funny in the end. I got out “fucking really” and he started tucking tail. Real point is assholes are everywhere.
I got plenty of grace for the people who weren't making idiotic generalizations about our fanbase both before and after the game
If I had to stereotype Miami fans I'd go with the guys tailgating next to us in Chicago, complete dumbfucks in what looked like ICP branded Miami jerseys who literally had no idea who the Miami coach was. That would be my pick, just because they were so insanely dumb and woefully ill prepared for a real tailgate.
If it ends this conversation, I will absolutely say the Miami fans that I have encountered in South Bend and Chicago are great people. A number of my friends are Miami fans. Great people, but I encountered a cesspool of humanity last night. Maybe people who can afford to travel to games are better people. Last night looked like people not legally allowed to leave the state.
Î can’t handle a Penn State game. Miami fans are bad but psu fans are the worst. The worst. Miami fans are so fucking gay hahah really tough to get crushed by them. Can’t imagine the Penn State fans if they destroy nd. Might have to retire as a fan.
Almost announced my retirement last night. Thoros probably packed it in. He was an honest man and you treated him like a dick head. Rip
Don’t quit, Nd will be back. I feel like a degenerate gambler talking to himself convincing himself that success is just around the corner. Your battered wife analogy was spot on. But i will be back home next saturday because this team changed, it’s different now. They got me flowers because they felt so bad about last year. It’s different now.
Somebody said on Twitter You can absolutely be upset with last night's performance while still being impressed with their progress so far. That said, is Jurkovek (sp) enrolling early? I'd be fine with seeing what he's got.
