Liam's solo studio albums were quite good, I was not sure about live other than he did Jools Holland unplugged a few years ago. But both of them here though, its like fine wine...
One of my faves. It was hard to find as a single when I was 14. compare it to another banger performance from snl 28 years ago
First time playing Whatever with Liam on vocals since 1996. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/oasis/2025/principality-stadium-cardiff-wales-1b52e14c.html
I didn't get really into Oasis until a few years ago. I think the general lore of the band makes them so interesting. Kind of like Fleetwood Mac, I like a band that has some real drama between the group but they stay together because they are only as good as the sum of their own parts. Noel and Liam hate each other but they have this crazy chemistry that you can hear and see on stage. I also think it's funny that they didn't even get along growing up. and Liam only included Noel in the band because he could actually write songs. So Noel is kind of the brains of the operation and Liam is the soul and the vibe. And they clearly resent each other for it. They also have always given hilarious interviews and aren't afraid to trash other acts. They aren't afraid of the taboo that so many other famous musicians are. Also their songs just absolutely fucking rule. Come for Wonderwall but you stay for Live Forever and Acquiesce. meant to tag IV in that
The sideshow that was the Gallaghers was great. MTV had a new interview every week where they'd said something that ruffled someone's feathers
I mean they are really funny too. I googled funny Noel Gallagher and there’s all kinds of bangers “Liam is... rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He's the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup."
I think it's in Supersonic where Liam is talking about Noel and he said "you worry about the music and I'll be over here looking cool as fuck"
yes. Professionally It boils down to. Liam wants to be a rock and roll star. Noel wants to put on a great show for fans.
I think they even played those two saying similar things in Supersonic. Liam I think said something to the effect of "every band worth a shit looks cool.". I can't say he's wrong
Sabrina Carpenter fans will probably argue this one but kinda feels like Supersonic is turning into the Song of the summer
Benson Boone and Justin Bieber albums seemed to fall flat and don’t have it. Ed Sheeran’s new album isn’t until September but the 2 singles so far aren’t it. Sabrina’s new album isn’t until late August. We’ll see what the next single is but don’t think Manchild is it. Let’s go Supersonic
Seeing all of the videos and no fights has my percentage of chance of attending at the Rose Bowl going up. Still thinking it’s about 75% with an up arrow (like the old Beckett magazines)

I’m glad I’m not the only one to come around on them later. They’re fucking great. I always liked Champagne Supernova (for some reason I felt compelled to pay a cover band $20 to play it when I was at a bachelor party in Nashville many years ago). But otherwise really only knew their hits from bar bands playing them in college.
funny you said that, my wife knows the folks the underwriters and they said enjoy london b/c that may be the only time you get to see them long ways to go but arrow def pointing up
People are steaming the concerts live on social media, very easy to find. Pick an upcoming show and then just chill and watch it live on IG/Tiktok
Just realized they're playing Melbourne the same time I'm going to be there. 100% going to be hitting that up. Hopefully they keep it together until then.
