Doubt Ohio State attempts 73 passes like the last time, if that happens.
lol you guys are in the MalZONE now
This depends upon how FGs and punts Penn State intends to block.
Well our block team guys are still barely faster than your kicker and holder so you should be ok.
I will say this, our punter/placeholder is probably my favorite player on our 2019 team.
Weber drafted before Higdon
#Michigan Wolverines Artoo
Remember when he sat out the bowl game, but played in the Senior Bowl?
Total draftees per conference:
Big 12 26
Alabama led all teams with 10. Ohio State was second with 9.
Purdue and Nebraska failed to have anyone drafted.
At least Iowa kicked our ass with some first round TEs and DBs. That Purdue catastrophe still doesn’t make sense.
Our defense was 13th nationally in 3rd down conversions, but dead last in plays of more than 40 yards. Purdue scored 4 TDS of 40 or more.
Thank god Day cut every coach on that side of the ball except LJ.
and hired Greg Mattison
I’m okay with that. Mattison is a two year stop gap to manage this transition and the defensive staff is really young.
Co-DC Jeff Hafley is only 40 and hasn’t coached college since 2011. Washington LBs and Barnes DBs are in their 30’s.
Mattison and LJ provide the transition while the younger coaches get their feet under them.
We’re loaded on defense. We return 20/22 in the two deep and have at least a dozen former top-100 recruits on that side of the ball.
It’s as good a situation as Mattison could fill.
Mattison could fill a very large bra.
BTW, guys, the Michigan football team leaves for this year's spring junket to South Africa this week.
Please prepare your hot takes and ice burns accordingly.
I’m okay with that too.
Going to South Africa, still can't get to Indianapolis.
Fuck, you're in game shape already.
You won’t have to worry about anyone catching a disease. Get it? Scum can’t catch anything lol!
This plane will have more touchdowns than Michigan running backs!
You can’t win a national championship in the offseason, but you can lose one.
So a couple of weeks until the locals start calling it the Cape of No Hope?
Or have they been following Michigan football recently?
A shitty (or normal?) Nebrasketball team that fired their head coach could have more guys drafted than the football team.
Fuck that’s depressing
ESPN had an article on the draft generally and it stated the Nebraska streak of having a player drafted went back to 1963.
OSU didn’t have anyone taken in the 1998 draft. We opened that season as AP No. 1 though because everyone returned.
Yep, it was like the 4th (or close??) longest streak of any college. Similar to the last 10-15 years it’s a streak that has come to an end.
We are pretty much the sell-out streak away from losing all our prideful streaks.
Having said that, would give that up in a heartbeat to return to competing for conference titles and be on the national radar. Feel confident in Frost, but it fucking sucks to continue to fucking suck.
The west is pretty competitive this year. Wisconsin has slipped.
Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, USC and Nebraska all had the since 1963 streak.
Ours dates to 1938, though we've had it almost end a few times. Only had two players drafted last year, 2013 and 2011 and 2009 and one each drafted in 1994 and 1985, among other years. Rich Rod definitely tried his best to nuke the streak.
I had only seen the “since modern draft” streak referenced. But as it turns out, MSUs streak goes back to ‘41. UM and USC tied for longest.
Quit making shit up, herb
Just picturing Drake Harris shining up all his championship rings right now.
Brandon Peters has entered the transfer portal.
Purdue would be a great spot for Tommy Stevens if he wasn’t afraid of competition.
Emma is Mertz looking at a real shot to start at QB?
He's sort of a bitch, and has a "very involved" Dad. Best of luck to him. Kind of a bad look being 4th string going into your 4th year in the program. We once had high hopes for him.
He wasn't terrible, before getting his brain splattered on the Camp Randall turf.
It is true that you could not blame any of our QBs for being a bitch with that OL standing between them and death.
We'll always have the Rutgers game.
It’s called the “At least he’s not John O’Korn” effect
Ohio State should sign Peters up immediately.
We’ve had an amazing QB transfer run. We have taken three and given up four.
We just took Kentucky’s third string QB as a transfer to fight for the backup job with West Virginia’s third string QB (also a transfer) because Justin Fields (transfer) is really the only scholarship QB on our roster.
We had two QBs in the 2015 class. Burrow transferred to LSU and Gibson got suspended then transferred to Cincinnati.
Haskins was 2016.
Martell was 2017, transferred to Miami.
Baldwin was 2018, currently in the portal.
Mathis flaked out when we took Fields and signed with Georgia, meaning we didn’t take a 2019.
Overall, take Fields over any of the guys who transferred, but we’re screwed if he gets injured.
I think you're just on the front edge of how it works now.
Gunnar was THE backup, don't ever disrespect him again.
Also hit a hole in 1 today
11 out of the 16 are Big Ten schools.
How’s it going Frank?
I accounted for Rutgers appropriately
