Pretty cool that the Bucks have the best returning players on both sides of the ball for 2k25 miss u Caleb
2026 odds: Ohio State +450 Texas +650 Oregon +650 Georgia +700 Penn State +850 Notre Dame +1200 Alabama +1600 Tennessee +1800 Clemson +1800 LSU +2000 Ole Miss +2300 Texas A&M +3000 Michigan +3500 South Carolina +4000 Miami Florida +4000 Florida +5000 SMU +6000 Louisville +6000 Auburn +6000 Oklahoma +6500 Arizona State +8500 Nebraska +9500 Florida State +9500
Change the bye format and then hopefully just let shit be Eventually eliminate conference championship games though that is a mess too
I'd rather they just go to 16, then byes aren't even part of the equation And have the quarterfinals on campus instead of at bowls This year would have been: 16 Clemson* @ 1 Oregon* 9 Boise* @ 8 Indiana 13 Miami @ 4 Penn St 12 Arizona St* @ 5 Notre Dame 15 South Carolina @ 2 Georgia* 10 SMU @ 7 Tennessee 14 Ole Miss @ 3 Texas 11 Alabama @ 6 Ohio St
If they go to 14 or 16 they need to eliminate the Conf champ games and replace that weekend with round 1 at minimum. Ideally they move the start of the season up to week 0 for everyone and also eliminate the conf champ games. The championship being Jan 20 is too late and too drug out. Get it done by latest the first week in January and have NYD as semifinal day.
has the sport become more predictable? 1992-97: 4 of 6 seasons the eventual champ started AP top 5 1998-13: 9 of 16 seasons the eventual champ started AP top 5 2014-24: 10 of 11 seasons the eventual champ started AP top 5 15 of the last 18 champions started AP top 5. the outliers are 2010 Auburn (#22), 2013 FSU (#11), and 2019 LSU (#6) and annual reminder; 10 programs have combined to win 30 of the last 35 titles (this includes 2 splits) Bama x7 Nebraska x3 Florida x3 Florida St x3 LSU x3 Ohio St x3 USC x2 Clemson x2 Georgia x2 Michigan x2
I've never been big on the conference championship games, but if they got rid of them now I'm going to be really annoyed. The more we try to turn CFB into Natty or Nothing for more teams, the worse the sport gets. So let's stop doing that.
Well yeah I do agree with that. The sport has turned into the narrative that nothing matters unless you win the title. It’s been trending that way ever since the advent of the 4 team. It sucks.
That’s fair, but it’s certainly a downside to that path. Brian Kelly used to complain openly about not having much to play for once we lost a 2nd game
You guys are all going to feel so dumb when Billy Napier hoists the CFP National Championship trophy, presented by Dr. Pepper, after Florida goes undefeated.
got some early win totals and championship odds available yes, I'm already working on projected records (ceilings/floors). all tentative so don't yell at me lol. ACC and BXII schedules have yet to drop thus 0-12 for those teams
I like more games between high level programs I don't like the continued devaluing of the regular season. but 11 playoff games was way better than the New Year's Six as a conclusion to the season
