Grabbed Sierra Ferrel tickets for the fall. If you haven’t seen her, she will be one of the most awe inspiring performers you will see. I listened to her a ton before seeing her last year, and was still not prepared for how blown away I was. Grab your tickets.
The over/under on the amount of people that are reading page 21 of this thread but don’t know who Sierra Ferrell is has to be .5
Yeah, I really meant have listened to or checked her out, but haven’t seen her show. Also, Daddy Rabbit reads this thread so you have to spell some things out
Shadowgrass was really good. Started off kind of slow but by the end of it they were awesome. Cahaba Roots was all electric with DLaw playing drums (a la Levon) and some local high schooler who is (apparently) a prodigy of sorts. He was certainly talented and Luke made a couple comments that he was having trouble keeping up. Played a lot of Dead covers. They were great and I hope they start playing more frequently
And here I was thinking this morning about our plans for Nashville next month. My dilemma Spoiler Apparently, the Tennessee-Bama basketball game's tip time isn't set yet according to both schools websites.( 12 or 3 CST / Ticketmaster had 12 on the ticket when I bought them). No way I can make it back from Knoxville in time for set one of Saturday night's show if it's the latter. ESPN site has it listed at 12
She’s been on an absolute rocket ship. I saw her in 2021 open up for Town Mountain at this tiny ~500 person outdoor venue in rural VA. You could just tell she was destined for stardom
What you leaning towards doing? I plan to stupidly ask mi lady to make it official while we are there, any tips on where to do that? Her bday is that weekend.
Funny to see that compared with her wild stage costumes these days. Must take her hours to dress for a show.
On the rail during In the Morning Light or She Makes My Love Come Rolling Down. where else? Spoiler Inside the Ryman in front of the stained glass Cheekwood Botanical Gardens - not sure about prettiness on March 1 though
Fuck if I know in the moment. 51/49 sell tickets to bball game and use profit to pay for Ryman ticket. Edit add on: probably sell to friend at face
Saw her at a fest in 2022 and then open up for Zach Bryan last year. She’s pretty good and entertaining.
I love Sierra Ferrell, saw her twice last year. But she's a bit out there on her socials and when she starts talking between songs sometimes lol
Yeah she had the AOY for me but she's a Jesus freak and conspiracy theorist. Had to unfollow so I can keep enjoying her tunes.
Haha. I saw some comment from her somewhere that gave new meaning to I Could Drive You Crazy. Her band is good, but really I was more taken back by how powerful her voice was and just her general stage presence.
Tyler tried to warn us about her I don't know if it's the wine or the coke That makes her sound like her jaw is broke She's workin' hard to make some sense, but she ain't got a dime I wish to God that I could help her out I wish I knew what she was talkin' bout I wish to God that I could get away, but I'm way too drunk to drive
Just got tickets for Sierra in Omaha in July Also gonna go spend a week with my brother in St Louis in June and our week consists of Goose on Tues and Wed, day off on Thursday, then Billy on Friday and Saturday.
Thile did then and still can smoke em all on mandolin. Also Jeff Austin was out of his league there, one of my favorite jamgrass players ever but he was the low man even with a young Josh Pinkham in there.
These shows look fun but I’m ready to be mesmerized by the big screen in Asheville again. They’ve put on some of the most psychedelic visual experiences I’ve ever had. The spinning toad at Halloween was wild.
This is why Sierra Hull cancelled some of her tour. Was hoping it would be a new project. Dates are in the second pic and east coast looks like this. Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, Turnpike Troubadours, Charles Wesley Godwin, Willow Avalon
Just got tickets to this at the Gorge for Memorial Day weekend. First time seeing Billy Strings and first time going to the Gorge. Then taking the entire following week off and doing a road trip across eastern Oregon. Hell yes.
May have been posted in one of these threads already, but I’m digging Them Coulee Boys. https://music.apple.com/us/album/pray-you-dont-get-lonely/1467302905?i=1467303120
BFF is on her bachelorette this weekend, so I am off the hook for Valentines Day. Sam Bush is playing at one of our smaller venues tonight...haven't pulled the trigger but I think its imminent.
Sam Bush show was fantastic btw. First time I’ve seen him in a non-fest setting. Played a great Memphis in the Meantime cover
