This is a good point (talking about how inappropriate it was for bojack to take Penny to prom). I never think about this character as in his 50s,even though "back in the 90s [he] was in a very famous TV show" I was sort of torn about that episode because we heard Kelsey even say, "BoJack is stunted," and we know he's sort of unable to mature. But also, why would anyone think it's okay for a grown-up to be someone's date to a prom? There's something really fucked up about that in the first place. Yeah, BoJack doesn't see himself as a grown-up. He doesn't think he's a 50-year-old man. And because he's a cartoon horse, our audience doesn't think that either. So it's fun to remind them: He is a grown-ass adult. He's 51. He doesn't get how inappropriate that is.
Haha No, it has a happy ending. You're thinking of Carrie. Oh, that reminds me of my favorite joke from the season that got cut for time. In episode six, where Todd and Mr. Peanutbutter are talking to their accountant, and he's telling them they don't have any money left. The accountant says, "You're more in the red than Carrie on prom night." And the original line back was Todd saying, "You know, my friends say I'm a Carrie but I think I'm more of a Miranda." http://www.vulture.com/2015/07/bojack-horseman-season-two-raphael-bob-waksberg.html?mid=outbrainrc
Yeah, it's tough to remember that he's 50 and Diane is 35. I guess Mr. PB would pry be in his upper 40s/lower 50s too then.
Every one of Olbermann's scenes, basically mocking the news media he was once a part of, are also hysterical.
Voice cast is just ridiculous. I believe I saw Stephen Colbert's name in the credits after one episode -- any idea what he did?
^^^ is one of the reasons i can watch the show over and over. i'm always looking for and finding new sight gags like that. i'm at the point whenever msnbsea is on, i'm just reading the bottom line ticker and laughing my ass off
haha god dammit. just went through all the scripts because this video didn't show up. anyway, it was in every episode* (10 times in ep 1) and then culminates with "what am i doing here?" just awesome * in chickens its "what are you doing outside of the castle
It takes a real narcissist to think anyone wants to read a book about him. You know how I feel about Anne Frank.
I'm a couple episodes into Season 2 right now and love this show, it is awesome. Also, this show to me does a much much better job of telling the story that Califonication was essentially trying to tell.
Finished this afternoon. Really funny (especially season 2) and surprisingly heartfelt and sad. Really unique animated show, will watch again.
Re watching and on S1E6 when he throws the money and Beyoncé falls I laughed really hard both times I watched at the MSNBSea exchange. "All the single dollars?" "All the single dollars" "All the single dollars?" "All the single dollars"
Finished my rewatch and missed the first watch but caught this time Diane's ringtone when Mr Peanutbutter calls her when he sees her at the restaurant. It's the theme from Serial with Sarah Koenigs voice. Enjoyed that
man, how'd you miss that the first go around? that was one of the highlights also, she had updated her ringtone from ezra klein this american life in season 1
http://www.vox.com/2015/8/23/9186237/bojack-horseman-netflix-interview In its second season, Netflix's dark Hollywood satire BoJack Horsemandidn't just become the streaming service's best show — it became one of the best shows on TV, period.
Haven't read this yet but I agree. Easily my favorite Netflix show and one of my favorite shows on tv right now.
I'm rewatching. I had a notebook to try and write down my favorite lines (yes I'm gay) but I was quickly overwhelmed cause I wanted to write down everything. Holy shit I love this show. At the end of S1E3 where Bojack is "apologizing" to Neal McBeal the Navy Seal he delivers some just stinging social commentary. Sarah Lynn has some awesome lines about celebrity when Bojack is talking to her about getting clean. This show is so on point
how did you not know that? Spoiler you aren't alone. i know lots of people didn't realize that + the imdb page didn't list her as the voice. it sounded exactly like her to me, to the point i was baffled when imdb told me someone else did the voice.
Paul F. TompkinsVerified account@PFTompkins Just waiting for the right occasion. #peanutbutterisoneword #dontwriteoneword
Needed something to watch tonight. Naturally, I threw on a little bojack After party at my restaurant!
