That was an awful cut, but he could have gone through it, think about Cotto's vs Clottey. Cotto couldn't even see the right hand coming and still went on There is no way in hell that doctor was gonna let that fight continue knowing what the cards looked like. I'm not saying Chad would have gotten the KO but Pascal was hurt and exhausted at that point. Side point, I have no idea why any American would go on foreign soil for a fight, you're almost guaranteed to get fucked over. Adamek and Ringondeaux next week which I'm looking forward to.

His legs were stiff and tired, but never buckled, his eyes were clear. The uppercut is the only punch that really rocked him, and it froze him stiff but he recovered as soon as he took one step back. In my opinion, Dawson was hurt more than Pascal ever was. Harry gave the damn 2nd round to Chad. He had to have been hitting the booze with Larry before the fight. He got outworked, outfoxed, and was outgunned. If he'd used his feet to corner Pascal instead of passively following him and half jabbing for 10 rounds he may have put a hurt on him. Bute vs. Pascal has to happen next. What a fight. Bute will win that, then beat Dawson. He's got one punch power, thats what separates him. I was laughing last night on FNF when ESPN's P4P had Dawson at #4.

I mean, Pascal was basically on queer street after Dawson stopped him cold in the middle of the ring, but he didn't even manage to get another shot in before Pascal recovered. You can't be considered an elite boxer if you let those types of opportunities slip away. Dawson also had him on the brink on the ropes in the 11th round but again failed to deliver the final blows... Pretty disappointing to see Dawson let those opportunities slip away. I thought it was pretty gay of Pascal to celebrate the way he did. You shouldn't go crazy when you get the shit beat out of you in the 11th round and get bailed out by a headbutt. I thought he acted like a real bitch after the fight was stopped... If the fight isn't in Canada, then the 11th was setting up to be a 10-8 round for Dawson with the 12th being the decisive round. IIRC, one of the judges scored it 106-101, which is an absolute joke.

He got drilled with a great uppercut, and it froze him, but he recovered almost immediately. Queer street is a very different place. Thats good of HBO to give Berto the option of two 140 pounders. I still think that it will be him and King Arthur in the grand finale. The way I have it figured, Ward beats Direll, Abraham beats Froch and Kessler beats Green. Allowing them to advance, and Froch advancing for the gift that he got over Direll.

Now he doesn't have the some athletic gifts to mask some of his technical short comings, and this is the result. It's sad he'll be remembered as a great fighter BUT ducked people and was washed up at the end of his career.
