Two big cards tonight. Of course, they're at the same time, but such is life. SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Carl Frampton vs Leo Santa Cruz II, Dejan Zlaticanin vs Mikey Garcia. We’ve got a great rematch main event and Mikey Garcia coming for a 135 pound title in the co-feature. Nothing to complain about here.
HBO/BoxNation, 10:00 pm ET, Francisco Vargas vs Miguel Berchelt, Takashi Miura vs Mickey Roman. Both of these have action potential. Vargas has proven an action star, and Berchelt can bang, too, so that one could be a lot of fun. As for Miura-Roman, Roman really only knows one way to fight, and he does it pretty well, and Miura is not against throwing down himself. This may not have the big fight relevance of Frampton-Santa Cruz II, but these are good fights, too. Overall, it’s a terrific night of boxing on paper. It’s just too bad the cards are head-to-head.
Always liked Robert Garcia for some reason so I am happy Mikey is back in the mix. Zlaticanin is short as hell.
