10:30 PM ET, ESPN: Bud Crawford vs. Jose Benavidez, Shakur Stevenson vs. Viorel Simion Tonight at 10:30 pm ET on ESPN, Terence Crawford and Jose Benavidez Jr meet in the main event from Omaha, with Crawford’s WBO welterweight title on the line. This is a fight that’s become about a lot more than a title, though, as the two sides have some serious beef with one another, evidenced at Friday’s weigh-in where Benavidez shoved Crawford, who responded by throwing a right hand at the challenger. Crawford (33-0, 24 KO) is the heavy favorite here, but Benavidez (27-0, 18 KO) is a very talented fighter who has been considered a top prospect — if one who hasn’t moved too quickly — for a long time now. It could be a more interesting fight than expected, but either way I think we can expect some fireworks. This is a personal one. Featherweight prospect Shakur Stevenson (8-0, 4 KO) will also be in action, taking a super featherweight bout against veteran Viorel Simion (21-2, 9 KO). That fight is scheduled for 10 rounds.
Anyone see Wilder punch the mascot, breaking his jaw? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....-on-mascot-and-reportedly-breaks-guys-jaw.amp
I blinked during the first knock down. and saw him fall like he got hit with a body blow. Rewind showed me otherworldly pain being administered. Can't wait for his next fight
Yeah, I always kind of cringe whenever they do these things with Bud's mom. I get it's his background, but "I'm a good boxer because my mom beat me" can't be the best way to sell Bud.
Bradley's spot on. Bud should get moving a little more side to side, use the footwork to his advantage.
he's had a little success moving to his right but not near what he usually does. I think when it happens again, he's gonna put the finishing touches on Benavidez hurting him
