Given that it's happening in Japan, the likelihood of some shady stuff happening increases incredibly. Japanese MMA promotions are typically owned or controlled by the Yakuza. Sakakibara, owner of Rizin MMA, has a long history of this. But let me say this -- Tenshin Nasukawa is one of the best young kickboxers in the entire world. Not saying that to hype the fight, but saying it because it's really true. Incredibly interested to know the rules of this. Even if it's fought under kickboxing rules, it's an interesting fight because of how insanely dangerous Nasukawa is with his kicks and knees.
don't know anything about these guys, but... Usyk vs. Bellew main card viewing info Date: Saturday, Nov. 10 Time: 5 p.m. ET | Location: Manchester Arena, Manchester, England Live stream: DAZN Usyk vs. Bellew main card, odds Favorite Underdog Weightclass Oleksandr Usyk (c) -800 vs. Tony Bellew +500 Undisputed cruiserweight championship Anthony Crolla -335 vs. Daud Yordan +255 Lightweight Ricky Burns -550 vs. Scott Cardle +375 Lightweight
Usyk is a monster. Love him. Usyk (15-0, 11 KO) is the heavy favorite and defending champion of the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO, collecting all four major world titles and winning the first season World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament. He’s simply been a cut above the opposition as a professional after an outstanding amateur career for Ukraine, and most expect that he’ll get the win again today before possibly moving up to heavyweight for a run at more world titles. But you can’t count out Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KO), who has defied the odds before in his career. After failing in a pair of world title bids at 175 pounds, he moved up to cruiserweight and won the WBC title, then moved to heavyweight for a pair of stoppage wins over David Haye. He’s got career momentum and he’s got power, so he is a threat as the underdog here.

That was fun to watch Hooker got off the mat after an early knockdown and came back and dominated. Saucedo just couldn't capitalize after the knockdown
Saucedo has one real chance after that when Hooker just sat on the ropes for two minutes. When Saucedo couldn’t get anything going there, that was it. Always cool to see a guy get off the mat and fight back.
We've got boxing tonight on HBO of all places. One of the best in the business in action with Bivol. Starts in 5 minutes. 10PM ET, HBO: Dmitry Bivol vs. Jean Pascal, Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs. Isaac Zarate. Tonight at 10 pm ET on HBO, Dmitry Bivol returns to defend his WBA “world” light heavyweight title in a matchup with former champion Jean Pascal in the main event of a doubleheader from Atlantic City. Bivol (14-0, 11 KO) has been one of the hot rising stars in boxing and the light heavyweight division over the last couple of years, rattling off a series of impressive televised wins, including victories over Sullivan Barrera and Isaac Chilemba in his last two outings. The 27-year-old Russian is the favorite tonight, but he’s facing a dangerous veteran who has nothing to lose, too. Pascal (33-5-1, 20 KO) has won two straight after a 2017 loss to Eleider Alvarez. Two fights ago, in Dec. 2017, he knocked off then-unbeaten prospect Ahmed Elbiali. He announced a retirement at that time, but came back in July of this year, and is now back on a big stage. In the co-feature, super bantamweights Murodjon Akhmadaliev (4-0, 3 KO) and Isaac Zarate (16-3-3, 2 KO) will meet in a 10-round bout.
He may be getting his ass kicked and a part-time brewery worker or whatever, but Zarate has a fucking granite chin.
Good if unspectacular performance from Bivol. Pascal’s a tough dude, but would’ve liked to see a KO or a knockdown at least. Still, that’ll be a good experience for Bivol. Not betting against all that talent.
Furys style lends itself to spoiling fights, and he's going to try and avoid getting caught with a big punch for the whole fight.
