Well that was anticlimactic. Just saved Khan from getting embarrassed I guess. Oh well...on to the next one!
Spence needs to delay it a few years if he wants to win. I know Spence is in his 20’s, I’m assuming Crawford is early 30’s by now.
I actually think Manny’s been better than you’re thinking the last couple times out. He looked sensational against Matthysse and was solid to good against an overmatched Broner. Agree on Thurman though, he’s been underwhelming in his return. If anything can bring him back to his prior level, I’m hoping it’s the motivation and opportunity that comes with a fight like this.
Wow. A end of an era. Abel took in an unknown Kazakh and helped turn him into a legitimate boxing superstar.
At some point I’d imagine you surpass your trainer to an extent, but there still needs to be loyalty.
That seems like a lot for him to turn down. I'm a bit of a newb but the internet says that's 10x what he made for the Wilder fight
Agreed, that’s a risky move on his part. He does have some leverage as the biggest name available opponent, but asking for $10M makes me wonder if he just doesn’t want the fight.
One card tonight, and it’s a real good one with a must-see main event. DAZN, 7:30 pm ET, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs Juan Francisco Estrada II, Daniel Roman vs TJ Doheny, Jessie Vargas vs Humberto Soto. This is a super packed card from the Forum in Inglewood, California. Srisaket-Estrada II is a must-see, obviously, and then you’ve got Roman-Doheny in a super bantamweight unification fight, plus Vargas moving up to 154 against crafty old Soto. The card also features several legit prospects: Alberto Melian, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, Shakhram Giyasov, Anthony Sims Jr, and Diego Pacheco, plus the pro debut of Austin Williams, and also Ronny Rios is fighting on the card. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Juan Francisco Estrada will meet for Rungvisai’s WBC super flyweight title. Their first fight in March 2018 was a barnburner, with Srisaket winning a majority decision over 12 rounds.
Ruiz is basically the Mexican version of Big Baby. Fat, has power and speed, will come to fight. If it couldn't be Ortiz, Ruiz is the next best option from an entertainment scenario.
Saw an interview where Ortiz's trainer said Oritz's manager fucked up and he should have taken the fight. Uh, yeah
SC southlick NP13 or anyone else that knows are dazn cards (specially like the Canelo card on Saturday) usually a full card or just the main event?

Here’s a good preview of the undercard: https://www.badlefthook.com/2019/4/...l-ortiz-jr-lamont-roach-sadam-ali-joseph-diaz
The $99 for the year is more than worth it for most of the folks in here that watch the bigger cards.
