I wonder how good of a boxer Silva could have been if he grew up doing it opposed to MMA, his speed and precision in his prime was so damn scary
For those that haven’t see Inoue before tonight. Go to YouTube and watch the donaire fight. Was fight of the year

PPV, 9:00 pm ET, Gervonta Davis vs Mario Barrios, Erickson Lubin vs Jeison Rosario, Carlos Adames vs Alexis Salazar, Batyr Akhmedov vs Argenis Mendez. The Showtime PPV takes place in Atlanta. I like the main event and co-feature a lot, personally. Davis trying his hand at 140 is interesting if weird, and some might understandably say avoiding tougher fights at his better weights, but we’ll see. Lubin-Rosario is a very good fight at 154, winner should be in line to fight July’s Charlo-Castano winner later this year if they all want it to happen. Julian Williams’ return was supposed to be the second fight, but Williams is out and Adames-Salazar is in. Akhmedov-Mendez is a decent matchup and a WBA eliminator at 140. The fight will be Davis’ first at 140 lbs, with Barrios defending a secondary WBA title, making for an absurd selling point in a division that has an unquestioned undisputed champion. But trinket nonsense aside, it’s an intriguing matchup where Davis is giving up a ton of height against a top 10 guy in a new division.
ESPN+, 10:00 pm ET, Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Masayoshi Nakatani, Rob Brant vs Janibek Alimkhanuly. This one’s an ESPN+ exclusive. This is a solid return for Loma coming off of a loss to Teofimo Lopez. Nakatani can’t match Vasiliy for skill, speed, timing, foot work, etc. But he is very tall at 135, which Loma is very much not, and he’s tough as hell and can be relentless in his attacks. If Lomachenko has any lingering shoulder issues or Nakatani just has the right plan of attack, this could be a tougher night than Loma expects. Brant-Alimkhanuly is a solid co-feature. Lomachenko last fought in Oct. 2020, losing to Lopez, and had shoulder surgery after the fight. Nakatani was last seen in December, scoring a big comeback KO win over Felix Verdejo, and is noted for his toughness and grit, as well as the fact he’ll have a huge height advantage over Lomachenko.
So what cards are we watching? I assume we will be able to stack title fights? Will Loma fight beforeTank?
Like this Loma much better. Fighting out of the gate instead of taking the first 2-3 rounds to process.
