That's a good corner stoppage. Fighter gets to at least pretend he wanted to go on if not for the corner while being sparred the possibility of being absolute flattened after taking the count.
There's a lot of psychology at play in that stoppage. Wood still can tell himself he would have recovered and won the fight. Doesn't even matter if it's true, the possibility exists. You get knocked out cold and some guys can't mentally recover from that. I think Davidson is an underrated trainer too so there's that.
