Saturday, Feb. 22 DAZN PPV, 10:00 am ET, Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol 2. A rematch of the excellent, mildly controversial October undisputed light heavyweight title fight that went to Beterviev by majority decision. It’s a big, big card beyond the main event rematch: Daniel Dubois vs Joe Parker, Carlos Adames vs Hamzah Sheeraz, Vergil Ortiz vs Israil Madrimov, Shakur Stevenson vs Floyd Schofield, Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel, and Joshua Buatsi vs Callum Smith, all for some combination of world or interim world titles. $25.99 for the DAZN PPV if you’re in America, which comes out to about $2 per world title up for grabs.
I thought Bivol won at the time but I semi rewatched it on The Pain Gane's channel and I do think Beterbiev won now Sometimes fights can be really hard to judge in the moment
I think Bivol won the early rounds but rewatching it made me appreciate how bad the optics were of the 2nd half where Bivol seemed like he was constantly on the back foot and trying to get out of trouble
I'm picking Bivol to win the rematch. No reason really but I did have him winning the 1st fight 115-113. It was a tough, technical, fight to score. But I have a feeling that Bivol gets this decision.
I'm not sure Parker has the power to stop Bakole from coming forward if Anderson didn't. I guess a wildcard is what kind of shape Bakole is in
Really good test for Buatsi. Smith is on the next level below Bivol/Beterbiev which is still an extremely high level
Kind of a slow sports weekend, I would have considered it too but gotta go out and do a few things so not gonna risk paying and missing some of it
It's seems like Ortiz is figuring it out some. Madrimov's movement is so bizarre it prob takes to time adjust to it. Dear diary
