This offense is comically bad at times, and I can't help but throw it onto the play calls. We can't manage to run a few plays to try to get Sammy involved without throwing it 30+ yards downfield? Do we never run a god damn slant? Or maybe a run play that doesn't look just like the other 30 runs we've already run? I don't know if it's normal practice for NFL offenses to go for damn near entire quarters or halves without gaining a first down or sustaining anything that resembles a drive, but this shit happens to the Bills every fucking game. So, what happened with Mario? We bring in Rex, he changes the defense, eliminates a lot of the benefit of having Mario as a pass rusher, and now we're planning on cutting him? I realize its a lot of money to be freed up, but bigtime DE's who can get to the QB make a ton of money. What direction is this defense headed in?

54 sacks as a team in 2104, 21 in 2015. 14.5 for Mario in 2014, 5.0 in 2015. Seems like a pretty big difference. Also seems that a good coach on any level should be able to see what's not working for the unit he has out on the field, and adjust accordingly. Just seems really fucking stupid to just run in and say, this is what we're doing whether it works or not, fuck anyone who doesn't agree. I mean, ultimately, it's Rex's ass on the line. If the defense continues to be shit, he's not going to last. I just would assume that his goal is to retain his job. I would also assume that he would know that his defense playing well helps with that cause. I would also assume that making changes to ensure they play well would be high on his list of to dos. I don't know, maybe he's just a stubborn old fuck like the rest of the NFL coaches who routinely get recycled around the league because they're routinely fired.

evidently very tight until we extend Gilmore/Glenn and rearrange the books. we restructured Clay and Graham but evidently only have about 4-5 million to work with... likely some low money veterans is all we will bring in before the draft (which will now almost certainly be defense heavy) Bradham and Mario said they weren't good fits for the Ryan's scheme. Excuses? Maybe... but maybe for the best we part ways. And if NE wants to pay Hogan 5.5 million this year, go for it. I am sure he will do well there (who wouldn't?) but he is not worth 5+ million to the Bills.
the only thing with the Bills that bothers me is lack of depth... once they fill out their defense with veterans and the draft... we will be thin at O-line, WR and LB... and possibly safety. That's just life in the NFL with a 53 man roster... but with player's like Sammy and Aaron Williams who seem injury prone... pretty scary. still, McCoy, Woods, Taylor, Clay, Watkins is good enough if we add in another TE/WR in the draft. O-line is solid and returning everyone could be crucial. Glad we got Incognito back.
