As bad as it was, two plays really changed the entire game if you look at it. Down 21-3, we get the first down on the Delay of Game penalty on Baltimore. 2nd down, Keon drops the perfect pass. IF Keon catches that and we can finish the drive, down 21-10 at half. We make the stop, score the TD and now were staring at 21-17. Followed that by stopping them again and than the stupid trick play which we had started to get all the momentum. Keon makes that catch and no trick play we could have been staring at the lead. It's Week 4, shit happens, move on to the next one.
I saw a clip of the trick play from the all22 again. Allen was going to launch it to Mack hollins in double coverage. McDermott isn’t going to allow Joe to call another trick play this year.
smart to wait until after your potential team plays Derrick Henry to consider a comeback. If McD is throwing that out there unprompted (not sure if he was asked specifically about Hyde), you know they've had talks already.
much like Kincaid, I think both need to be utilized a little better given the matchup problems they can cause
He had some nice plays from the slot and out of the backfield....he's shifty and quick. We need something from our WR's....
And Kincaid/Shakir already operate out of the slot and Cook comes out of the backfield and they are better. We need outside WR help, not slot/RB. Not saying he can't have a role or do creative things with him, just not sure he does much that we don't already have.
well I think the point is that we can scheme him into better routes / production. although I think next week will be super run heavy with more deep shots.
Yeah I was all set to take a beating this year and than spend next year. My hopes got put up after the first 3 games
Also if this Von suspension is because of the arrest last year, fuck the NFL for not doing it last year so we could get rid of the contract
that's just how it plays out with the NFL. Rice won't get his suspension until next year, I'd bet. If Beane can make something work, I trust him to make it work. And if the price is too high, I don't think a new WR is necessary for the team to have a successful season.
good news: Bernard and Taron!?!?! Plus, without Mixon, Houston's running offense has been awful. bad news: Ed Oliver is missing the game due to a random Thursday practice injury, and Shakir is out.
He's went to throw a timing play a couple times and has to pull up because the WR's are no where close to being open
Watching Damar take the wrong angle and McDermott telling Damar you have to go the other way. Our Safeties are just so bad
So Keon Coleman sucks and doesn't know the playbook it looks like. I loved him at FSU but all the draft analysts did say he has trouble getting separation, proving to be very correct.
