I love it when Hamill will occasionally reveal small tidbits about the production of the series. Spoiler
EA sucks, Disney needs to pull their license. Please bring back Lucas Arts to make a good Star Wars game.
I’d love it if they took pitches from relatively smaller but proven studios and see what true inspired operations can do with the license
Are there figures on how much Battlefront 1/2 made including microtransactions? I fucking hate the trend, obviously, but EA's job is to make $, not necessarily the best game. There was a spirited debate on this on r/gaming in a God of War post.
I get it and hate microtransactions too, but can't they make a better game with microtransactions or make 2 types of games. Most Star Wars fans would buy both games. The last Star Wars game that was good was The Force Unleashed imo. I'm surprised EA & Disney didn't make games for The Force Awakens & The Last Jedi.
He brings this up in “Empire of Dreams”, the entirety of which should still be on YouTube A highly recommended watch if you haven’t seen if
Me too. I waited until the loot box debacle was all sorted out. It's not anything mind blowing. A fun star wars shooter it is.
Having fun in a SW environment is the primary reason to play. The game itself is nothing special but going pew pew and other sound effects is fun immersion.
I had a lot of fun with the payload escort game (forget what it’s called) and wrecking people with the Wookiee
I played the first one but have basically sworn off EA altogether. I'm hoping Disney re-examines their agreement soon. I would like them to choose devs on a game by game basis.
This exactly I’d love what say CDPR can do with an open world RPG or Insomniac can do with a third person action adventure game
EA is slaughtering everything it touches and living off the fact that they can put out a shit tier madden product and make bank because it's the only football game on the market.
I was excited to see this thread bumped only to find video game discourse that I cant participate in. :artoosadbeep:
Going through my re-watch and S5E15 that concludes with Maul vs Pre Vizsla for control of Death Watch might be my favorite episode.
I’m sure this has been discussed. But, I’ve barely just now watched solo. How much older is Han than Luke and leia? Seeing [name redacted] at the end really threw me off.
No that's about right. TFA had a teaser in like December, a year before release. TLJ teaser and title reveal came in January, if memory serves. So this is actually the latest of the three. I don't expect very much footage at all.
First TFA teaser was Black Friday and iirc TLJ was April I believe And it’ll be a few glorified still images, which I’m more than fine with
Saw a timeline breakdown prior to watching Solo that pointpointed it at around 10-12 BBY which I’m guessing makes Han around 10-12 years older than the Skywalker twins.
I remember Pablo Hidalgo clarifying on twitter but I can’t find it I’m not proud that I remember that
Doubt we get even a teaser or even a title reveal during the Super Bowl. Disney May be huge, but they still have to use their advertising dollars wisely. They have like 5 huge movies in the first half of the year they need to hype up before they get to EPIX advertising. Captain Marvel, Avengers:Endgame, Live action Aladdin and Lion King, and Toy Story 4 all come out before July. If Disney is going to spend and Super Bowl commercial money, it’ll be in those movies, not Star Wars.
A good problem to have. The selfish person in me wants to believe they’ll do SW but I can understand why they wouldn’t. Maybe do some sort of video collage of how much they own pop culture.
You may be right. I was thinking the TLJ teaser came out in January and then the first big trailer hit in April. I could be wrong though and I'm too lazy to google.
TFA teaser was definitely Black Friday. I vividly remember watching it on my phone while out that day.
Finally saw Solo, much better than the trash of episode 8, shame episode 8 has killed these type films.
I don’t think momma and poppa wu have seen ep 8 or solo, so I’ll try to watch with them while they’re in town and get their thoughts I know you all will be on the edge of your seats
In case you were having a good day just remember watching Rogue One and then thinking "We're going to get one of these a year!"
