Are you talking about before EPI was released way back when? Or sometime after? No doubt it would make more sense if he wasn't cut in half. I mean it's cool that he's back and all, but weak. Clearly we all thought he died, and I'd be surprised if they had plans when EPI was released to bring him back.
Maul coming back was explained well enough for me personally. I get why it bothers some people but I'm over it and have enjoyed his storylines in Clone Wars and Rebels.
I'm talking about after. Like when they reedited and made Han shoot first. But this would actually make sense.
I don't mind how he was brought back; I just wasn't sure cause I've never read the comics or watched the clone wars
Gotcha. That would make it more believable. But still silly in my opinion. I'm just interested to see how they wrap him up in Rebels. I can't imagine he stays alive for much longer. If he is reintroduced in EPVIII or EPIX people are going to go crazy.
I like TFA a lot and absolutely loved Rogue One. I also read quite a few SW books as a kid (Heir to the Empire, Young Jedi Knights, I Jedi, etc.), and am a little bitter that they aren't canon anymore tbh.
It made sense to bring Maul back into Rebels, since he was never killed off in TCW and thus, barring some ridiculous circumstances, would be alive during Rebels.
Was that directed at me? You can question my manhood. You can call me names. You can insult my dog. BUT NEVER ACCUSE ME OF DRINKING DECAF FUCKING COFFEE.
One point of consistency that I thought of (given he thinks Luke is the last hope) is that either: A. He never knows about Kanan/Ezra, much less comes into contact with them or B. He's aware of them and also knows that they died
I think there will probably be a reshoot this spring that will address her fate and it'll be wrapped up in VIII.
in other words, if the movie wasn't already ending on a downer (likely as the middle movie), it probably really is now.
I'm likely older than most on this board but I remember staring at this poster in line while waiting to get into Ep V. It's always been my favorite.
That's cool. I wish I could have been old enough to experience that. I remember see TPM and at my adolescent age already saying this Jar-Jar Binks crap wasn't going to work.
There was a report a couple weeks ago that said the creative team would get together this week to discuss how to handle Carrie's role in EP9, which was supposed to be substantial. Sounds like they decided, and decided not to recreate her digitally. Points to a write-out.
i have the three prequel teaser posters and the three OT theatrical posters hanging in my garage my favorite is this one Spoiler: for size
yeah, I knew about that. The internet being the internet, though, had already propagated reports (even from some semi legit sites) that that meeting had determined they'd give her the Cushing treatment and had already been talking to the family about securing the rights. That would have been incredibly insensitive and crass to do this soon after she had died, something I think most people would love to think a big corp like Disney would do lending some credence to the rumors. Like they said in the statement, they usually don't stoop to respond to fan/internet rumors, but this one apparently went too far. Disney may or may not care, but I imagine many at LFL are still pretty deep in the grief process and couldn't let this one pass.
