not to get back on that hill, but all that needed to be done was a competently made third movie. The first was an effective set-up, the second set the stage for an emotional, character-focused finale. The third...I don't what that hot mess was.

18yo and I settled in last night to watch the latest episode. 16yo stalked in and sat down next to me, muttering "This show isn't good enough for me to watch by myself" Pretty much sums it up
I rewatched something clips from TROS recently and the saber battle between Rey and Kylo is what should have happened in TFA. I never agreed with Rey defeating Kylo in the Episode 7. It didn’t make any sense and it was all too rushed. Kylo should have beaten her, which fuels her and motivates her. Take that and insert the Luke vs. Kylo scene in TLJ and again - it was difficult for me to make that leap of faith because the dude was beaten by someone who had never held a lightsaber. The whole trilogy was a fucking mess. Also Rose? No. I remember sitting in the theater and she’s telling Finn her life story and I said to myself, “No, I want to hear HIS life story. I want to know more about Finn and Poe.”
I liked BB ep 1, but it sounds like the rest is a waste of time, so maybe I should NOT waste my time?
it’s definitely not bad. it’s just not some earth shattering phenomenon. perfectly enjoyable 30 min a week for me. next ep could get interesting.
I've made is this far in so ill keep watching it week to week, but I can't recommend that approach to anyone who hasn't already been watching. I expect the end of the season will be good payoff though
