With that stringent of a schedule and at that price point, it sure seems like that caters to a very specific clientele. I'd hope that there's some kind of Jedi hot spring (pool) to hang out at for people who don't want to do half of that stuff.
They're going to need to kill these last two episodes for me to have any interest in a season 2. I'd eventually watch it at some point but not every week
The wife and I are watching the Prequels since she’s never seen them and I got pretty neck beardy during AotC because: Where did the navy come from? Like, early in the movie they talked about how the Republic basically doesn’t have a standing military until they get the Palpatine Ex Machina clone army and were actively against creating one. And I can see how a planet of cloners can make a 1.2 million man army, since a million people is just a moderate size city. But at no point do they suggest the Kaminoans are also building a fleet (or are able to do so) and the Venator class SD’s they arrive on are built by Kuat Drive Yards and would have taken years to build. Plus I don’t think 1.2 million clones would be enough for a war across tens of thousands of systems; that’s one Stalingrad. /neckbearding
There were a hundred ways to take the two(?) mentions of "Clone Wars" in the original trilogy, and George chose the most convoluted one. It gave us some great content separate from the movies though, so I can't complain too much.
At this point, I just ignore everything established by the movie AoTC and just assume it all starts with TCW. Less plot holes that way
I have no answer for how the Navy was created in such a short time. That said, the ships at the end of AotC were Acclamator class
Bad Batch season could have been 3 - 1 hour episodes instead of 16 episodes of mostly useless filler. If anyone hasn't watched, there's like 3 or 4 episodes that would get you the main plot of the entire season. The rest are not needed to keep up with the story Content for the sake of content is not going to keep people subscribing to these streaming services
Yeah I was underwhelmed by it, especially considering the quality of Clone Wars (especially the new, final season) and Rebels.
Is there really anything to spoil? Spoiler: Very last scene was I guess to set up start of empire cloning but wasn't a season ending cliff hanger imo
Bad Batch finale ending scene Spoiler So is Bad Batch just Filoni trying to clean up the fucking stupid Palpatine clone mess from Ep IX?
9 episodes, done by 7 anime studios List of studios involved: • Kamikaze Douga • Geno Studio • Studio Colorido • Trigger, Inc. (working on two episodes) • Kinema Citrus Co. • Science SARU (also working on two episodes) • Production IG So 7 different styles Should be cool
After watching the Bad Batch all the way through season one, it seems like the show was just a waste of time for people who were bored when they made it. It wasn't bad, and it had some good episodes mixed in. There's just not really a point to any of it, and especially for a show that's going to go for another season (possibly more).
I wasn’t really paying attention for the last few weeks but did they say Omega was force sensitive? I don’t remember that at all. I assume she (or the Kaminoin) has some connection with the Palpatine clone nonsense from RoS and (likely) Mando but didn’t realize it was that overt.
I always love these. The best takeaway is the effort to keep Luke under wraps. They were all somewhat surprised they pulled it off. They didnt even tell Hamilll about it. They invited him to visit the set, then sold him on it. In the scripts they had Plo Kloon substituted in for Luke. Pretty funny.
What a fucking let down Plo Koon would have been. Even if we never knew Luke was a possibility, just the way they filmed Grogu's reaction before the Jedi appears would send the expectations skyrocketing.
They also talked about how they knew the de aging thing wasnt perfect and they needed to set the lead up to the face reveal to where it didnt matter as much. It really is impressive how intentional they are about everything. They talked about how no one has really trained Luke on his lightsaber skills. Even though he's become this super powerful jedi, his light saber style would be pretty basic like it was in ROTJ. How Ahsoka sword play was better/more advance because of her training ect. Also - Luke's voice wasnt real. They took thousands of audio clips from when Hamill was younger and uploaded it into a program that synthesized his voice. Technology is crazy, mannnn
I kept waiting for them to address that but they didnt/ If he is still alive, an Ahsoka/Plo Kloon reunion would be a cool circular story
same. Would pay lots and lots of credits to have a dinner w/ the two of them where I could nerd out and talk star wars for hours.
Qualifying quiz just to get into the Dragon Con Star Wars trivia contest. Good luck. I got a 13/50 https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1...ot9eNNfJZ0oLa8wxFpNMAlRuObC2KElc9SnGy4rl0PQNA
