My choir is doing a John Williams and Hans Zimmer concert this autumn and I am heavily campaigning for Duel of the Fates.
Deadpool in space staring Gosling….. monkey paw closes finger But KK stays for eternity because of its success!!!!!!
I’m finally getting to the Thrawn Ascendency trilogy book series. There’s no description of the appearance of Yiv the Benevolent, leader of the Nikardun or even the Nikardun species at all. Other than he has a cleft jaw and two symbiotic fungus-like creatures on his shoulders that resemble epaulets. It’s really frustrating since it seems Yiv and the Nikardun will be major antagonists for the series.
The two best things that have been put out by star trek recently are Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds. Both work on the episodic format just like the old school star trek stuff. Not everything needs to be a part of some dumbass connected universe with movies and shit. Just sometimes have those characters show up, that's all you need.
The fact you have to watch Boba Fett to know wtf is going on in Mando Season 3 annoys the shit out of me still.
It's infuriating especially because Boba Fett isn't that good. That's another show that would've been helped by just being episodic adventures and shit.
And then they didn’t even bring back Boba Fett to help take back Mandalore, which would have made that whole thing not feel wasted.
But which sounds will it have? They've been making changes to the voices and sounds in the movie when it had only been released for two weeks. So, almost no one has ever seen and heard "the original Theatrical cut"
Everyone cries about seeing Han shoot first, but no one ever cares about hear the original Beru calling for for Luke cut.
I thought the story was Spielberg, Coppola, Kubrick, etc had some major notes on George’s version so his wife stepped in and recut the entire movie. Once they saw her cut they told him it was an instant classic. I know I’ve watched a doc where she talks about all the changes she made. They hate each other now so the truth might lie in the middle.
Found a video that talks about it some. The Star Wars “Icons” doc on Prime goes into a lot of detail. They choose the dorkiest topics for those things and I’m a sucker for all of them.
Check.out the Blast Points podcast episode 91. They go over all the differences in the audio mixes at release. It's such a fun and crazy podcast.
The actress was dubbed by another, if memory serves. The original had an accent so thick she was impossible to understand.
