Salty Caper is a good wood fired pizza and craft brew spot right next to Ultimate Ales. Live in Mooresville. One of the few spots in town that I frequent.
Didn't realize the LKN representation we had in here. I've been working in mooresville for 4 years but haven't explored a whole lot. I saw they are opening a Fresh Chef which they have in Cornelius and it is the shit. Same guys that own 131 main
We live in the lake, so that makes it pretty good. There is nothing special up here though and not really worth visiting besides going out on the lake. No restaurants or breweries worth the trip or anything.
i really like this band from nc called balsam range not my favorite genre but i enjoy having a few beers and listening to a little so i am looking forward to it (as long as it doesn't prevent me from seeing celemo and zack)
My dad loves Ricky Skaggs, he saw him at the Camden Opera House a couple years ago. Doesn't really do much for me.
if that's not feasible, i can carve out an hour or so before the concert. but friday would probably be easier
I've got plans lined up Thursday and Friday but I'll make time and join for beers. (TMB)Bro's before (real life) hoe's. Amirite?
Got moved into our house in Park Crossing. Pretty fucking pumped. Got the place repainted and shit and it's starting to look awesome.
nice. had a good number of friends in that neighborhood growing up. i'm like 5 mins away beside the golf course
Yeah that one. I like going to art museums and I was looking for cool ones near me I hadn't been to. This is Charlotte's major art museum right? Surprised to see it only opened in 2010. Columbia's opened in 1998 (in its current location -- I'm sure Charlotte had an art museum prior to 2010 as well; just thought they would have something much more historic/landmark status than us)
somewhat embarassed to admit i haven't seen much in the way of CLT's museums. idk if it's the "main" one, but if you're in to modern art that's the spot. the Mint Museum and Levine Museum of the New South are also worth looking in to ...
Spending the day on Lake Norman...fucking awesome. I can do a Friday hook-up but I would prefer it being a midday thing so I don't get jammed up by rush hour traffic if that's cool
What about NASCAR Hall of Fame, anyone been there? Not a fan of the sport at all but I'd prob check it out if people said it was cool
Makes me rage. You can only imagine the epithets I've hurled at you Charlatans driving up 77. Everyone in NC thinks they drive for NASCAR too
huntersville is a huge suburb and 77 goes from 5 lanes to 2 over the course of like a mile and a half. idiotic planning that will only get worse if they put in the tolls yeah best bet is head into town against traffic around 5 and it should be cleared by 7-7:30
When I lived in Charlotte I wouldn't even mess with 77 on Fridays. I would take nc3 to poplar tent to 85. It was a solid hour from mooresville to home but it least I was moving the whole time. Now that I'm in huntersville I just go through Davidson, but even that gets thick.
