Anybody have a recommendation for a fun place to take my 6 year old for food this evening? She likes burgers, bbq, chicken, etc. We are going to a show at Bojangles Arena. Driving up from Columbia.
Bad Daddy's on East Blvd is a pretty cool spot with some good burgers and reasonably close to the arena. Lebowski's is right down the street and also a pretty good spot. I will caveat with the fact that I haven't been to either in a couple of years but they were a couple go-tos when we lived in that area.
In the vicinity…Sweet Lews BBQ, Haberdish (southern cooking), Cajun Queen (Cajun), and I’ll tell you some damn good chicken wings and excellent whisky collection at Crunkleton. all of these are more than 15/per just FYI but would qualify for the fun. Crunkleton might be a little mature.
First thing I thought of with Kids and Burgers was Bad Daddy's. We went there a ton when they were little. There is also one right off 485 in Ballantyne if you're taking 77 to 485 to Independence before the show.
Buddys driving from Cola to Charlotte on a Wednesday night to see Disney on Ice or some shit…. He might want to know where the whiskey is.
I actually saw that when I looked to make sure the Charlotte location was still open. They're all over the place now. The one I recommended is the original. "Charlotte restaurateur Frank Scibelli opened the first Bad Daddy's location in Charlotte's Dilworth neighborhood in 2007. The upscale burger concept was acquired by Good Times in 2015."
I have a date tonight in the Pineville area. Any suggestions on fun things to do or places to grab drinks/food around that area?
Global is a good fancy restaurant. Margeaux is a good St Louis style pizza and wine bar. Kits Trackside is a good bottle shop.
Probably too late if the date was last night, but Middle James is a delicious brewery with great food and you get to overlook hacks on the driving range, which is a fun conversation starter.
Not trying to go too fancy for a 1st date. I like the idea of pizza and wine. Also love the idea of the brewery overlooking a driving range.
We’re getting a front row seat preview to how the stadium extortion is going to go down in a couple years
tepper really benefitted from following a racist creep PR wise dude is a clown who is a really shitty owner
I thought they were going to build something for the Panthers where Eastland Mall used to be? That was a few years back I heard that.
this is the latest thought https://www.wbtv.com/2021/12/20/charlotte-council-approves-pipe-foundry-rezoning/
Ever Andalo if you can get in there. It’s been crazy since they changed it. We had Salud before a concert last weekend. Pizza was really good. Took a while though
It’s a food court. That’s putting it lightly but that’s essentially what it is. Some real good food in there
I was there last week. It’s really good. Food court with all different types of food. I’d look it up before you go there if you’ve never been. Lots of different ethnic foods.
