thanks for nothing bitches. Ended up going to Lulu which was pretty good. Wanted to go to zeta janes but the line was ridiculous.
In town with the gf for the weekend, need some fun stuff to do during the day and night besides . any suggestions? already thinking carowinds, looking for more outdoor/stuff outside of just bars
looked it up, thanks, looks good for nightlife gonna do carowinds and maybe ice skating. maybe bed bath & beyond i dunno if we'll have enough time
There is a Buffalo Wild Wings right at the HOF. Fuel Pizza in front of the Convention Center. And other than those places the Epicenter is your best bet if you're staying within walking distance.
go to NoDa and find this pizza place that's in an old house. shit is daaaaaank but i don't know what it's called or remember what street it's on. you're welcome.
If he walks to NoDa from there he might as well just go ahead and stabbed himself then get hit by a car
Not only is it a good place to eat within walking distance of where he is, its one of the only places to eat within walking distance of where he is. Plus I really dont give a shit what others think, I find it an acceptable place to get wings if I want them.
I have nothing for the area down there man. If you are willing to drive/cab somewhere, I could help you. But I try to stay as far away from uptown as possible when I'm back home and going out to eat.
There's nothing really around there that's not a chain of some sort (walking distance). You're gonna have to walk up College Avenue to get to anything. I'd say somewhere in the epicentre is your best bet unless you're willing to cab it to a better restaurant.
My grandparents had an interesting argument over whether it is uptown or downtown. My grandfather says it's downtown but all the yankee transplant fucks wanted to start calling it uptown. My grandmother was born in Pennsylvania
My opinion: Dandelion Market - Tapas Chima - Brazilian Steakhouse ($$$$ but delicious) Basil - Thai Brixx - Fancy pizza Blackfinn - Sports bar (Epicenter) Enso - Sushi (Epicenter) Mimosa Grill - Kinda nice, not toooo expensive, but not cheap Nix - Burgers (Best choice for burger in CLT imo) ETA: StrikeCity in the Epicenter has good pizza (Liberato's) and a cool atmosphere if you want a sports bar feel and pizza.
yea, i've only been once but it was damn good when i went. burned the hell out of my mouth tho on the first piece. this is really making me want pizza.
I know, I've heard that the locals call it downtown before, but everyone calls it uptown now, even the old timers at Duke Energy call it that, change is good man.
Walk to Mert's and stuff yourself on that good food. I stayed at the HGI across from the NASCAR HOF and it was only like a 3 block walk. Well worth it
How about we play a little game. Who here is actually from Charlotte? Now who has an intimate knowledge of downtown?
For walking distance from his hotel, feel free to give better suggestions than I did - because it was off the top of my head.
Don't let stagger off the hook. He didn't back up his statement at all. You had some good suggestions Gin
