Listening to Stan on the Blackhawks talk podcast. Sure as fuck sounded like he’s basically saying I fucked our cap situation and with Covid we have no wiggle room to make moves. Basically said Seabrook is gonna be a 7th defensemen. Was extremely high on Dach.
the overlying issue is....because he is the one to fuck us into this cap hell...he has not earned the chance to dig us out. So, why are we letting him steer the ship?
Said it in the NHL thread but Hawks should have tried to rebuild after 2016 but instead bowman keeps doing what he’s always done and trades NHL players for other NHL players to try to catch lightning in a bottle. The seabrook contract sucks but getting maatta, Shaw, de haan, saad the second time, zadorov.....it’s just dead money on middle roster players.
Stan basically said he saw Boqvist get bullied on the ice last year given his size and Zadorov is on the roster to put an end to that shit. I don't disagree with the anything you posted above fwiw.
that’s so fucking dumb. Also it was his moron coach that paired him with Duncan Keith instead of Connor Murphy
Stan also made the case that the kid from Dallas we signed is just as good and does the same shit Saad does at a smaller cap number... I'm glad the barstools guy actually went at him some. Not some of these bullshit interviews where the journalist wants access so he tosses soft balls
If it's Lyme disease...very possible. But mine is 100% speculation based on that post. Hopefully it's just an imbalance of some sort that keeps him out a few months
I asked this in the NHL thread and apparently no mega star in this class. It's loaded at the top with defensemen. 6 or 7 could go in the top 10... sigh
I would hold off only because I feel like they should do it in front a packed house. Next year would be awesome. Both are HOF guys Edit: should have keep reading. I see we’re on the same page
Jeremy is basically the blackhawks version of Rick Renteria. This team isn't competing for a cup anytime soon. Let him take the bumps and bring along the young kids. Replace him when the roster is ready for the next step.
why would anyone think that a coach that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the wall can bring along young kids
I don't think Jeremy is a good coach. With that said the roster he's been handed is clearly on the downside and i'm not sure if Q was still the coach if the results are much different. He's clearly someone Stan really likes, probably fine with both the players and coach learning for the next couple of years before making a call for when the window (hopefully) opens
Then you replace him. You don't waste the formative years of 2 (and next year probably 3) top 7 picks with a coach that doesn't know what he's doing. Not to mention guys like Debrincat, Strome, Mitchell, Kubalik etc. that are under 25.
The evaluation from the staff and front office felt that Subban was our best goaltender... I have no faith the guys behind them are much better. #1 pick here we come.
chatter of punting on a draft this year due to not enough Juniors to evaluate kids on then doing a double draft in 2022 using the 2021 standings for both drafts...
Interested to see what happens with the Contract. Huge blessing to Stan now. Wonder if Seattle tries to get it.
