Isaiah Thomas is just as good of a scorer as Kyrie and he can't be any worse defensively. As long as we can re-sign IT to an extension, we murdered this trade. That Nets unprotected 1st round pick is almost assuredly a Top 5 pick in a loaded 2018 NBA Draft.
Derrick Rose Isaiah Thomas JR Smith Lebron James Kevin Love Jae Crowder Tristan Thompson Kyle Korver Jeff Green Jose Calderon Championship.
I don't know much about Cedi Osman, Walter Tavares, or Ante Zizic, but I'm fairly confident they are going to be the next Big Three.
really interested to see what they do with the pick. whether they keep it or trade it will say a lot about which way the wind's blowing re: lebron as well
I think that's far too valuable of a pick for the team to trade unless the Nets end up being a playoff team. Don't know much about Osman, heard he's an energy guy who can shoot the 3 a little bit. Apparently Zizic is a tough rebounder and Boston was depending on him being able to go against TT on the boards in a playoff series. Boston got the best player in the trade, but they sacrificed it for a lot of important depth in my opinion. Jae Crowder has a very team friendly contract the next three years.
Apparently IT is worse off then the Cavs thought so now they want an extra asset or else they veto the trade.
The Wade signing gets the posters in the NBA thread all worked up, which makes the move totally worth it for me. Everything else is just gravy.
This team moves the ball better than any Cavs team on opening night in a long time. Lot to get ironed out though
i want to load shumpert into a cannon and fire him into space really looking forward to IT4 coming back
seem like the early reports are all really positive. honestly, it stung more than i thought it would to see kyrie in a celtics uniform. he's definitely flawed and we may very well be better off come june, especially if we can flip the nets pick for someone valuable, but god he's fun to watch. i thought rose looked pretty good. obviously 2010 rose is gone, but he was aggressive tonight and got to the rim pretty effectively. he can't guard anyone, but he certainly looks like a significant upgrade from type 2 williams at the backup 1.
Pros: Dwyane Wade looked good, Rose looks explosive, Jae Crowder is awesome on both ends Cons: we still have Shumpert
Congratulations. As the most active Cleveland team thread, I've chosen you to represent the city of Cleveland as I can't find a city thread. In town briefly for a wedding this weekend, most free time is Saturday. Best breakfast/brunch place? Best place to grab a beer and watch football early afternoon? Looks like I'm staying near Case Western but don't care much about staying in the area. Just a bonus.
Put this in a thread a few weeks back: Slyman's is a little east of downtown, but is an awesome lunch spot. If you like classic deli sandwiches, you'll love it. I've been to Urban Farmer a few times and really liked it. It's an up scale lunch, steaks and such. If you're in the mood for Mexican, Momocho in Ohio City is solid. Barrio is downtown and good as well. Sokolowskis is an awesome Polish restaurant with all the classics. Just a little south of downtown. I haven't been to many sushi places downtown, but I did stop with a buddy at Parrallax and liked it a lot. dukebuckeye could probably help you out better with brunch/bar recommendations. Winking Lizard downtown has a pretty big beer selection and plenty of TV's. Menu is basic bar food.
For the people who live in Cleveland, is Melt still super popular and really good quality? I know they've expanded locations in Cleveland and are currently looking to sell the Company to a big chain or investment firm that can take them nationally. Also, is West 25th still a great bar scene? Went to high school around there.
I'll eat Melt, but I've never understood the hype. Like Corch said, it's just too much bread. The bread soaks up the grease and butter and that's all you taste.
