I personally prefer Marvin Bagley, his defense is already there. I like that this is the draft of big men, we can get TT's replacement and hopefully get from out of his contract.
I don’t think they’re getting out of TT’s contract until the trade deadline of the 19-20 season when it’s expiring. Nobody’s taking those last two years at 17 and 18 mil.
This year's draft class is great. With about 8 teams in the running, and about 6-7 bona fide studs (and knowing wherever the Cavs finish in the East doesn't really matter), I'm almost as emotionally invested in Nets losses as Cavs wins down the break. I'm far from a draft expert, but feel like Bamba and Jackson are fairly raw and will need a pretty steep learning curve in the NBA. If I had to rank them right now I'd go: Tier 1 1. Bagley 2. Doncic 3. Ayton GM LeBron's Tier 2 4. Young Tier 3 5. Porter (will be in the top 3 tier if hes healthy by March and/or no injury concerns) 6. Bamba 7. Jackson Tier 4 8-9. The Bridges 10. Sexton
lebron is ridiculous but i wonder if this team will have that extra gear the past 3 teams have had once the playoffs start. am looking forward to seeing nance and love play together. hopefully thompson dies in a tragic boa constrictor accident before he returns from injury
Hard to tell since we haven't really seen what this team can do yet, but I just don't think we can take Golden State still.
Doubtful. Your schedule is mostly cake going forward, and you should be able to clinch with a win against Philly w/o Embiid. Pacers have a tough stretch to finish.
Philly has the easiest remaining schedule in the NBA though. Even without Embiid, they should finish strong.
i hope we flip the switch in the postseason, but i'm looking forward to the offseason regardless. fire lue and the clownshoes coaching staff, get kemba, wreck everyone
So the Cavs losing to the Nets early in the season was the difference between the Nets finishing in a tie for sixth best lottery and their actual position in the eighth spot. Unbelievable.
Yep. Outside of LeBron, they’re just lost. Really hoping they bring in a good x’s and o’s guy to lead the rebuild.
Honestly, I don't see Lebron coming back with this squad at Lue as the coach. We need to get rid of Tristan, fire Lue, sign Boogie Cousins, etc. to have a chance of getting Lebron to re-sign.
These are some scaaaaaaaaared dudes. The atmosphere isn’t going to get any easier in Indy. Being honest, no one is beating GS, but I sure would not like to lose in the first round.
rodney hood looks like he's relearning how to walk after a catastrophic spinal injury. really think we can get kemba in the offseason if lebron doesn't bolt. need to can lue and get a real coach in here. that's long overdue.
They matched up horribly with Indiana, I actually expect their play to be better against Toronto. Hoping to make it to the Finals just for the anger in the TMB NBA thread.
George Hill being able to play was the difference today. Indiana has a lot of hateable players. Hopefully we get that Tristan for the rest of the playoffs too.
Have we discussed it? Because if I am LeBron, I'm opting out and joining Philadelphia. Our team, sans Bron, is fucking trash.
The optimist in me hopes we can unload a lot of salary and attract PG13 or find a way to trade for Kawhi and acquire a real PG. The realist thinks Lebron will and should leave.
front office needs to hustle and put together a coherent plan for adding a third major piece. kemba, i think, is readily attainable. maybe they can get more ambitious. i really think lebron wants to stay here, but it's not happening if they can't show a clear plan to upgrade this clownshoes supporting cast
Salary cap wise. This team is a toxic dump. There are two un-fucking-movable contracts in Hill & Thompson and two were gonna need a 1st contracts in JR and Clarkson.
Really thought we would blow it. I haven't looked at the numbers but assuming Kevin Love played about 35 minutes, which is about 34.5 more than he should have.
