Time to buy more ETH, SNOV and OMG. Ppl are saying to wait as it will drop more but then I have to actively root for a drop lol.
Debating if I want to consolidate stuff, but hard to weigh if I stay spread for possible rebound or try to pick which ones have higher chance. If you want to peak my portfolio, hit the spoiler Spoiler Portfolio: >$500 worth of coins (used to be more, but substantial holdings) XLM NEBL BNB NEO XMR DASH FCT Next tier - $100-500 AION ADA ICN BTC ETH LTC SNOV DRGN WAVES PRL Smaller holdings PRL QTUM LEND TRX OMG DENT DBC VEN XRP So really high graded the ones I like and think have long term, took some profits and went with fliers on the lower 2 tiers. Should I just cut losses and get back to base with my top tier and BTC/ETH/LTC? Or is this worth just holding out, waiting for an alt-run and then consolidating
ETH has seen a big rebound this morning (relatively). Back up over 900 after trading in the high 700s for a while. Personally I’ve been out of the market since the weekend and don’t have much appetite to get back in. Think I may call it quits on my crypto career as a winner.
Spoiler but seriously if you would like to come in and provide sound advice on how to make us all rich, please stay...
It’s not for the faint of heart. It’s most volatile market I deal with. Hell, at times it’s easier to do derivatives rather than crypto. From what I’ve seen the key to crypto is day trading and only holding long positions in cryptos that have strong fundamental projects and backing. Everything else is like penny stocks, where you are buying for momentum gains, rumor increases and jumping out to minimize liquidity opportunity costs.
Never got approved by the clearing house to trade bitcoin futures. Supposedly my account will be opened and permissioned before Feb 1st. Anyway, i wouldn't be suprised to see bitcoin make a run up from here. Back up to the 14k-15k range. Long term I still think its going down to less than $1k a coin.
I have a confession to make. I sold all my shitcoins and maybe even put down some cash to buy a lot more NEO, VEN, and NEBL in the last two days
After getting burned by XVG and TRON (luckily got out early), went big into NEBL. Would rather have something more stable and be better long term instead of doing this day to day shit. Will buy FCT, ETH and BTC. That will be about it.
He literally only reads waves one way (the way with 100x+ profit looming 24/7). Love the comments that are like “DONT HATE HE IS TEACHING US TO USE ELLIOT WAVES FOR FREE” And I’m like nah, he’s teaching you how to find a triangle that indicates exponential profits in every chart you lay eyes on
There’s also no FA. These aren’t normal corrections on XRP, XVG, TRX, etc. They’ve just been exposed. Next thing you’ll see is a Bitconnect shill. “Massive Bull flag forming”
As someone else pointed out, this probably can't be true given that they would need equal people taking the long position for the shorts to exist.
i'm enjoying the conspiracy theories people are concocting to take away the pain of losing imaginary profits
yeah the idea of Wall Street collusion with the Korean National Assembly and minister of justice while also working with “China” is rich.
Standard stuff. Don't have an easy narrative for why the market moved? Blame it on Asia or the nefarious profiteering banksters.
I gambled on marijuana penny stocks a couple years ago (yes, most of us are gambling here, not investing), and crypto twitter vs. weed stock twitter are hilariously similar to the point where I have a hard time taking any of these alts seriously.
I mean, the bankers sold mortgages they knew were bullshit and then bet on those same mortgages defaulting. And then paid out huge bonuses with bailouts from taxpayers. Nefarious? Fuck yes.
sure. just saying you are coming off a bit like a young guy in that post. im sure there are plenty of pump and dumps going on, but this correction isn't the result of some bankers trying to screw everyone. its a correction of an extremely volatile market that is exacerbated because a majority of the investors are younger people who don't have the stomach to deal with these kind of losses
Once this thing bounces back, I'm consolidating my holdings. I was aiming for a mutual fund carry some of alot of different coins type approach but there are just too many hype/shit coins out there I'm not comfortable holding in a crash like this. Thinking : FCT, BTC, ETH, NEO, VEN, ENG, XLM, ICX, XRB, NEBL (I know this list is still a lot but it was hard to cut it down to these 10, right now I have 50 coins...)
After all this has shaken out, I’m betting big on VEN, NEBL, NEO, and ETH Keeping about 10% of my account in QRL, LUX and staking coins with high ROI and less than $10MM market caps. Mainly because they’re off on Shitopia and Bittrex and not enough money to bother with moving. Let’s fucking go.
I agree with you here - I don't think this kind of plummet is a result of Wall Street manipulation. At the same time, let's not act like "Wall Street" is above that sort of thing.
wall street is going to do what is best for wall street. but honestly, that shit goes for every profession.
I think the craziest thing about the last couple days has been how, previously, BTC acted as a hedge for alts, i.e. when BTC went up alts went down (both in USD and BTC) and vice versa. Now it's the opposite, with any moves in BTC acting as a multiplier in either direction for most alts. Makes for quite the ride, although a lot less fun from a risk management perspective.
Because it used to be same market cap and money moving from coin to coin, now it's new money in and old money out of the market which just makes everything go up or down
my gf put in like 3k with the goal to pay for a new phone. she was up about 1500 a week ago. she didn't sell. that's my fault apparently
