I'm buying more right now. From a technical standpoint this drop doesn't really make sense. I've read at least one article that this last 24 hour drop was caused by some new Silk Road wallet. It makes sense because everything had been trending exactly as expected until 6 am yesterday where the bottom fell out inexplicably.

 

Rooting for you. Didnt mean for it to sound like I was kicking you while down. And yea everything is down, not just eth.

 

No, it's cool. This is what crypto trading is, inexplicable volatility at times. Fortunately while everything is down my Siacoin trade from earlier this month was already up 80% over three weeks so even with it's fall I'm still up pretty well on it right now.

 

That wasn’t inexplicable. News dropped that Goldman dropped their plans for a crypto currency trading desk.

 

The news of that didn't drop until 3 hours after the first dip of nearly 15%. That news has definitely made this drop more severe, but it wasn't the trigger.

 

gotcha. I thought it was around the same time. Admittedly I wasn't paying that close attention.

 

Down to $189 now. Have you seen anything knew on the cause of the huge drop?

So, near the absolute peak, I cashed in about $400 of some ETH profits and bought SNOV, NEBL, VET and BNTY because I just had to own some small portion of those. Haven’t checked in months.

Those are now down 98%, 95%, 99.8% and 98.7% respectively.

Pretty happy I didn’t go nuts with how much I bought.

 

I don't think VET is actually down that much. They moved to a new chain and I think the new chain had a larger supply so while each one isn't worth as much you should have more of it, I think.

 

Yeah it was something like a 100/1 split. I bought ~500 VEN and now I have ~50,000 VET

I love going to the random subreddits now. Factom right now there is a post from yesterday talking about how it is going to take off. I bought my last at 70 and it is worth fucking 4. It is not taking off.

Had a block chain seminar today. It was an option at a freaking accounting conference. It was great

 

I mean the fact that blockchain technology is getting more attention is great for the space. The whole transparency of this space is the neatest aspect to me.

Would be nice to make a boatload of cash while changing the world.

Block chain is the future, but bitcoin won't be the winner on the basis of the technology.

I mean in fairness it was perhaps the most bullish unregulated market any of us will ever see so hey we can all tell our grandkids about how the bottom fell out on all lambos eve.

It was like the Great Depression for upper middle class millennials.

 

I loved it. I made a lot of money, then I lost a lot of money, and in the end didn't learn a thing. If that's not the American dream I don't know what is.

Industries will create their own chain. Hospitals will have one for medical records and prescriptions. Agribusiness will have one to track produce. Anything that requires the sharing of info and tracking of some sort of life cycle will fit the bill among a few other use cases.

Is there a reason why Ripple is up 100% this week or is it just a market run that has no explanation? It's gone from $3.75 to $0.25 this year and now this?

Exactly this. I think I broke close to even, +/- $5-600, when I took everything out. Withdrew a shitload and paid for a cool trip when we were all flying high, then put more in and lost a boat load before cashing out at less than 50% of what I invested.

I have 5200xrp. Seems like they have gone against the anti establishment vibe of the rest of crypto, and are actually working towards a real purpose (and making some headway).

Coinbase is shady as fuck. I wouldn't be surprised if this pump is Coinbase employees buying the shit out of Ripple with the knowledge that they are listing it soon. Or it could just be some random shit.
