gatorfromiowa remained active on the board long after btc crashed and probably deleted his account when the tinder thread drama unfolded
I hadn't thought about him or Factom in a long time until someone mentioned it earlier so I just searched Factom and have been going through all of his old shill posts. People lost real money over that shit.
Factom was no different than a lot of tokens in that the company behind them was an interesting company that might be quite valuable but that often got confused with the crypto they created being valuable. For example, Factom, the company, seems to have some decent business that doesn't actually involve the use of FCT and may use some other private technology they have. They are under no obligation to actually develop FCT as a protocol or actually make products that make use of FCT. This holds true for Ripple and XRP too, by the way.
Looks like the market is rebounding some. What are you guys going to do if this is a good run? Get even or close to even and then sell or just let it ride?
surely the china-us trade disputes help the alternative currency markets, but anyone who knows wtf these markets really trade on is foolish. if people are holding, it's probably a long-term hold. when btc moves, it usually moves fast:
I'd be curious what it looks like with the worst 10 days of the year removed. I'd also imagine something similar is true for most assets.
get even, get most of it out. leave a little in BTC on the off chance it moon shots again. Im only down a few K, but it was always money I could afford to lose. Do I wish I had it now, that I'm renovating a house? Sure, but I knew going in that I was taking a big risk and am ok with how it played out.
this is fun! also, i have no idea what my original investment was and what i've withdrawn so i can just enjoy it because i'm not sure if i'm down or up. i'm up recently portfolio-wise!
Sold a 10million dollar asset for 17k? That’s a graph depicting the beginnings of the greatest wealth transfer in human history.
Love the scale, love the forecasting of btc going up to 140k, and did they rename bear market to beark market?
Buy an amount you are comfortable with now. Resist the urge to flip that to altcoins. It’s entirely possible it won’t ever hit sub-4k again.
How fucking high are you right now? Just FYI if bitcoins were worth 10m that would put circulating supply as worth about 400 trillion dollars which is about 30x the USD M2 money supply.
sorry man all my money is going into VTIVX when I get some extra cash I'll buy some btc for shits and giggles
Was just a joke. Once bitcoin hits a million there won’t be a dollar to price it against anymore. It’s actually priceless. We’ll be getting another lesson about scarcity in a little over 300 days
Predicting the end of the dollar now too. That’s great. Shit guess I better put all my money into bitcoin now

QUOTE="letan, post: 14416986, member: 16475"]Predicting the end of the dollar now too. That’s great. Shit guess I better put all my money into bitcoin now[/QUOTE] Bitcoin goes to zero or infinity. It’s the only way to bootstrap the network into a global reserve currency status. So if it stays flat or decreases in price through a few halvings it dead. That’s not what’s happening though. It’s out earned every asset for the last 10 yrs. What happens when it does it for another 10? Bitcoin will take large chunks from every asset clasd by the time it’s done. Show me a better investment than this over the last decade.
It makes sense for crypto to be the way of the future. My biggest concern is that bitcoin gets replaced with something more environmentally friendly.
Expecting it to have similar growth for infinity is pretty damn foolish. Not saying it's impossible. Just saying I'll side on it not being the first to ever do that,.
Same thing happens. Infinity. Bitcoins stock/flow will equal golds next year. In 2024 it doubles. 2028 it’s goes 4x and so on for the next hundred years each time creating the hype cycle over and over each cycle bringing in more hodlrs further spreading its network effects.
I'll never not laugh at the "To the MOOOON! Lambos!!!" guys. Just delusional. A solid investment? Maybe. $100 investment going to pay for your retirement at age 26? No.
I look back and wonder why so few people took advantage of the biggest opportunities of their respective generations. It’s seems so obvious looking back. I wonder if this going to be the greatest yet. Judging by how few seem to see it when all the information is more available than ever I figure real wealth will remain concentrated. oh well, atleast the plebs will be given sound money this time around.
He's won me over. I'm making a deposit and going all-in. What could go wrong? A very stable and profitable investment.
holy shit. this is near me: https://www.wptv.com/news/region-c-...HNgywkYl6WZDLX4tdk8tNGleUEbJMQwnPSxM740_PRsRY
All I want to know is when will I be able to trade in my 1/10th of a Bitcoin for a Lambo? Next year at the latest?!!
